Story 1: That guy was definitely trying to scam the company and I’m pretty sure that auto shop was also in on it.
I can understand the mom in story 2 wanting to talk to someone unbiased. She wants the reality, not the PR answer. Someone who will straight up say "Yeah, there's no parking here, so don't bother getting a car," or "Yeah, there's a lot of places to eat here, but there's no night life.
But when someone is clearly busy, don't bother them with your damn questions.
Story 1. Both the insured and his "repair shop" make a lot of weird excuses and harass OP. No one sends OP pics. I bet the caller and the repair shop are trying to commit insurance fraud.
Story 1: Stories like this is why i feel bad for people in jobs like this... too many jerk customers who just outright refuse to listen or co-operate with anybody. Is it really that big of a deal to just send the photos of the car, or was he trying to hide something here? Im guessing something was fishy here.... both from the customer and the auto body shop, if thats how their attitudes were. Also a good thing the OP's supervisor was on the OP's side and everything was recorded. A big reason why conversations are recorded.
Story 2: Im really surprised that the OP didnt get physical with this stupid Karen. Its one thing to ask questions in a polite manner, but to corner someone and block their path... i mean, is she trying to pick a fight or something? Again we have a case of someone who just refuses to listen.
Story 3: Not the jerk at all here. The OP and the OP's kid dont want the SIL's other in-laws over, so why want to bring them over, and why try to force off your kid on the OP as a free babysitter? Also, i wouldve told the SIL off when she came back for her kid and not let her have any birthday cake. Also, why did no one else show up to the kid's birthday at a more reasonable time? Everyoe here were being jerks towards the OP and the kid on her birthday. Hope they enjoyed their bowling trip though.
Story 4: Wow, that neighbour is an inconsiderate jerk. A classic case of someone too lazy to shovel their own driveway and then just parks in a cleared area because they feel entitled to it. Its super annoying and frustrating. I dont get why the OP and others have ever bothered to help this moron out. Too bad everyone else didnt bury her car in all of that snow, but it looks like mother nature did it for everyone else.
Story 5: OP needs to move out of that place and like yesterday. The parents here are 100% on a powertrip and taking advantage, plain and simple. Even if the apartment had flaws, theres no reason to get this bent out of shape over the smallest of things. They really have a "my way or the highway" mindset, and if i were the OP, id be choosing the highway.
The shop guilting the OP about the man's job is suspicious as hell.
The parents in the final story are being hypocrites with the dog poop. I mean come on if you're going to be like that then the OP and wife should find a new place and not support the in-laws if they're going to be absolute D-bags.
Story 1: Also boo on that repair shop, since they seem to have a bad attitude as well, and aren't doing what they should be.
Story 2: The mother seems to be suspicious of anyone who might be "PR", hence their avoidance of tour guides and the student department... but this is not the way to go about gathering information. _Don't_ accost random students, and _definitely_ let them go if it's clear they have places to be. I feel bad for the daughter, who seems to be embarrassed about her mother's behavior but powerless to stop it.
Yeah that shop was crap.
Get your own place either either that or find a new apartment

On the third story again, op you are NOT the jerk in this situation at all. They ARE THE JERKS.
With regard to the beginning of story 3, I also live somewhere where it snows in winter. In the US. Hell I spent this most recent winter in a different state further south, it snows here too. So I fail to see the point in specifying that it snows in winter, I was under the impression it does that most places.
Take everything with you WHEN you go.
If snow plows come he should not be parked on the street he should go to a parking lot and park there to avoid the snow walls and if it’s a first or second priority street you can be fined for parking there.
My guess is the parents want to drive them out and charge higher rent for strangers after the set up subsidised by the OP

On the third story about not inviting the sister in laws parents, NO op you are the jerk for not inviting them, your sister in law, is just NOT GETTING IT.
It sounds like he was scamming for a rental car
op and his girlfriend should kick out his girlfriend's parents or move out of the apartment so both him and her can move out of there and live their lives to the fullest.
that's what op and his girlfriend should do instead of letting the parents walk all over them.

The sister is disgusting and entitled demanding op to spend time with people who don’t even care about her kid, then dump her kid as a way to ruin the daughter’s birthday and then wants to meet up like nothing happens

nah op's not the jerk, the sister in law is she stops her from having plans, because op has plans to do something with her husband by watching the fireworks and she's not letting her son meeting strangers.
OK I’m not trying to be a jerk but I have to ask if there are parts that original poster of story number one is leaving now. Because they have one jerk customer OK understandable but I don’t know how many people they talk to at the auto shop, but if it was multiple and all of them are saying oh you’re holding it up I have to wonder if there are parts the original poster did leave out?
I also wanna say instruction number two yes, I agree. The mother was very rude but that was the part. I found pretty funny where the mom does actually have a point. And Dad‘s if you ask a tour guide something I don’t know if these are paid tour guides or if they’re just students that sign up for it voluntarily. But if they’re paid, she does have a point they won’t be honest and I know college is different but at my school and my freshman year we did a tour around the campus we went to the weight room someone asked if the weight room was. Open just to certain classes or two students and auditory guide said the exact same thing that the teachers were very open to letting anyone use the weights but then you ask the teachers they’re like no that’s not true I even asked my principal and he said no, that’s not true. but I had one court teacher that was there for a while, that Todd or David instructions, and he said the one thing he disagreed with is they were told to lie while giving tours.
