Lovely zf
I always have a soft spot for the Renown. I always sit at the back and listen to that wonderful DH10A-245 Volvo engine
Sadly withdrawn now, still there at the depot 😢
I wish I could have riden it while it ran as that ZF sounds beautiful 😮
Should be going up to their depot soon so maybe I'll see it, but what a thrashy bus
22 years old still going strong and since Reliance really look after their buses this one will be around for quite sometime yet.
Reliance do look after their buses and hopefully because York is the only place for a couple of Renown’s now
This sounds like a ZF5HP500. We used to have Volvo B10BLE Carrus City Ls in Helsinki with the ZF5HP500 that sounded exactly the same as the ZF Wright Renowns.
I hope this goes on for as long as it can.

Same, Reliance are actually great with maintaining buses however this is how to maintain a Renown. The ZF was fantastic indeed way better than the hoovery B10BLE’s like what most of Arriva North East’s were

It was Saturday 24/4/21 and it certainly was a lovely bus to ride. Very Nice ZF to it aswell

Yeah definitely, York Pullman used to have this. Go North East used to have lots of these but sadly they got withdrawn in 2016/17

Its a B10 so it will always last for a long time possibly the most reliable bus built.

Sounds like my old favorite 2730 from Arriva Merseyside miss these things like mad.
Same, GNE used to have lots of these allocated to 17

@@darylyatestransportblogs Not surprised tbh, These used to be very common buses now sadly it’s stuff like Pulsars killed by eco no speed

@@darylyatestransportblogs Yeah most modern stuff is boring, However the Allison E200MMC’s are absolutely fantastic for thrash and speed
