I love the smile on Sarah’s face when she opens new JDM parts. The wheel offset is spot on and the silver lug nuts are definitely the best.
Like a child opening Christmas presents from Santa. 😄
That sag fix blew my mind. I had no idea that was even possible. I thought after sanding it would have to be painted over.
Oh yes a standard one sided razor blade, bend it into a shallow curve to stop the corners digging in and scrape at an angle (like your holding a pen) with the middle of the blade. You can fix runs and sags very easily this way. Buy a packet of 100 blades and swap them out before they get dull.
Yes yes I wonder if there was a way to do that without having to reshoot that part of the door
@@frankish5314 you can also use thin mylar or kapton tape on the sides of a blade to avoid digging in and just shave the drip. Luthier use that method for guitar paint correction everyday.
@@DynamicRockers Yup. I have used painters tape around the ends of the blade before but that tape is a bit thick, Mylar or similar would be batter.
Sarah, those rims are perfect! Once again your wheel choice is outstanding. Whoever wins this car will own a fantastic vehicle. Thanks for all your hard work.
I don’t know any other car content creator that dresses to match the theme of the car like Sarah does. That top is so 80’s that MTV called and wants their VJ back.
😅
Lol, I used to own a red mesh top similar to that and I'm a guy, weird times when looking back now.
Quiet Riot mesh tee as soon as I saw it!🤘🤘🤘
@@johnt.848 Weird as they may have been, can't we just go back to that time?
Those wheels are outstanding. I guess those wheels are sort of like the crager SS which are also timeless great choice gamb
I totally appreciate her attention to detail, like cleaning behind the lights and talking about dry ice blasting the wheel wells. Sarah is awesome👏
The rods on the louvers should be prop rods to hold it up while you clean the window, like a hood prop. Should be hinged on top, weird latches on bottom. The hardest part about restoring louvers is eliminating the rattles, foam, caulk, etc all a must. You're doing great work, and that's coming from a huge Mk2 nerd. Love the wheel choice. Replacing the elastic on the door pockets and seat backs is a nice touch often overlooked on them.
I was going to let Sarah know about the prop rods, but you beat me to it. 👍
(Oh, though, if they don't move, they may just be stiffeners. )
This is the reveal I've been waiting for. VERY NICE wheels, I was afraid they might be black, which I am so tired of seeing. When you see a dry patch when your spraying paint, have another gun with only reducer in it, and lightly spray over the dry patch, and it's gone. 😊
.
Hey that’s pretty neat
@@SarahnTuned - the louvers gives them that *nioce* razorback look. I know my next generation one would look great with the long hatch shape.
The 80s vibe of the postproduction is awesome, love it.
I feel that rear louvre is going to be the kicker, classic 80s.
Your builds and videos are the most genuine on CZcams at the moment. Particularly at a time when lots of the popular CZcamsrs have migrated to cars most of us will be able to afford.
The 80`s fish net jersey was very appropriate 😊
I love watching these transformations. No one does it better. The video production is so good and I love the 80s synth music. Nice touch.
That car is going to be sooo dope when you're done putting your touch to it, not that it wasn't before. Can't wait to see the suspension go under the car, I'm a suspension junkie.
Crazy awesome how you two got rid of the sags!
I didn't know it was possible, honestly.
Never underestimate Fred when it comes to paint. I literally watched him save a bad reaction in the sealer painting a pearl base coat the other day and sand it completely off in the booth, respray over it, and have it come out completely unnoticeable. Lol
The whole car looks fantastic but the new wheels and tires are 🔥, pure 🔥.
Sag repair was pretty damn slick!
There’s something innately satisfying about the sound of those panels being clipped back on after the mandatory SnT cleaning. And that paint sag correction… world class! Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Chrome lug nuts are the right choice. The wheels are awesome on the Supra, perfect choice! As usual, your attention to the small details showcases your talent. I do so enjoy your reactions on video Sarah. So glad I discovered your channel.
Thanks for sharing
Those wheels look amazing on the Celica Supra! You did a perfect job selecting wheels.
Thanks
@@SarahnTuned yeah that completely transformed the style :)
Another vote for silver lugs. Those wheels are fire! 🔥
Edit: that grin from Charlie on first look says it all.
Dang, those wheels are absolutely perfect. I agree that the silver does look cleaner. This build just keeps getting cooler and cooler in my opinion. I'm excited to see what you end up deciding to do regarding the graphics.
I finally decided to pull the trigger on getting a t-shirt this time around. I don't have much at the moment due to medical bills, but watching your projects progress really helped keep my spirits up when I was stuck in bed for months last year with my back injury. I appreciate your hard work and entertaining projects!
Celica starting to look fantastic you doing a great job Sarah.
Sarah, you are absolutely the the best content creator on CZcams.
I have to concur with eerokutale, nobody goes to lengths of detail you do, you need to make some brass badges saying “rebuilt by Sarah n tune” 🇦🇺
Your injections of 80s style edits are getting better and better.
The new wheels are perfect! I agree with you on the lug nuts as well. Chrome was the way to go.
Looks waaaay better with the new wheels !!! As usual, you knocked it out of the park !!
Great attention to detail, love the ocd, and great wheel choice and yes hope the winner appreciates them , pity I can't enter the competition (I'm not in the States)
You absolutely flippin nailed the wheel size, offset, design, everything! Looks fantastic!
Morning to the best content producer on the internet 🇦🇺😊👍
I had a smile on my face watching this video. Not just because of your meticulous work, but the effort you must have put in to make it a full on 80's video, from the outfit to the cuts to the music. It was very well done. Also love the un-squeeked F-bomb when you sat on the air IR.
The satisfaction, not to mention the joy, when you corrected the sag issues on the respray was palpable through the tube. NOICE one!
The wheels and tires are a perfect choice! Great vision Sarah!
This is one of my dream cars! Thank you so much for doing such a top notch job. I would buy any car you did your magic on.
Agreed! Sarah should have a little discreet plaque applied somewhere: "Tuned and Customised By Sarah".
Loving those wheels, sooooo much better than the standard alloys, hope whoever wins it, takes it to the next level, they are getting a stunning car, well done Sarah
Ooohhh yeah!! Those were the wheels I had in my mind! 🔥👏🏻
Great to see the sags got removed without having to redo the entire door. 👍🏻
The person who wins this is going to get a gem of a classic JDM! 👏🏻😎
Looking for my Walkman just in case I win. 😅
Excellent choice in wheels 😊
People need to understand that this car will be twice the car that you think. It will be so fun to drive. I owned a stock one. It handled very well. Let alone one that is in better condition. This car will be the real deal. Mustangs beware!
I have a Greddy Trust longtube header and a catback for it still too ☺️
@@SarahnTuned😮😮😮🥰
That polish work was wonderful- absolutely beautiful. Such a detailed restoration! Yay for PPE, though it's funny it makes us talk louder.
This is the best build video you've done. Every moment I a wow factor for me. This car is being transformed. The wheels are gorgeous. Best 16 minutes I've spent all month.
Wow who ever wins this contest is in for a treat. The dedication to detail is incredible ps I had a shirt like that in blue way back in the day 😅.
I've learned something totally new watching your video Sarah, and I thank you!
The disks on the back of the selected supra are actually disk drum. The parking brake is inside of a very expensive to replace. I used to have one of those supras back when I was a teenager.
Whoever is winning this car is getting so much more than just a car. All the effort and work you are putting into it is amazing! Much respect for that👍. And now I know how to tackle some saggs I've encountered in the single stage paintjob I performed in my garage. Already bought the tungsten scraper tool but I wasn't really sure on how to properly proceed with that. Now I know, thank you!
Gorgeous wheels! Perfect look.
Here's a vote for silver.
Sarah, those wheels are perfect for that car. I would agree with the silver lug nuts. You’re doing an awesome job on this car.👍
New wheels go perfectly with the car. They even look period correct for people not similar with these cars. The effort that Sarah puts into these give away cars is outstanding.
I can definitely appreciate Sara's attention to detail more after watching other car restoration channels.
Sarah this vision is coming together nicely. Awesome job on the single stage, the wheels are great. What a project. When you say, one lucky winner, you’re not kidding.🙂
Sarah hitting us with the Adam West Batman fight effects 👍
Chrome looks the best for the lug nuts Sarah. And
You nailed it with the wheels. Super sick :0
This car needs a garage. Wish I had a garage!! I was 10 when I love this car!!! gluck to the winner! Love your work Sarah!!
Your choice of wheels and tires is always spot on! 👌I'm actually going to dig into your videos, to find out which ones you have on your cars - to get some ideas for future reference. If only you could publish this info on twitter... 😉
(I vote for silver lug nuts)
I own an 85 mk2 with 15" wheels with 225-50-15 tires. A 225-45-15 is going to add 50 revolutions per mile and it will be noticeable on the highway
@@1985supramk2 And more noticeable on pot holes and dirt. I found 50 profile tires to be the best compromise for daily driving and comfort.
Yet again, so sad that I'm half a world away and driving on the other side of the road. I would so love to enter to win a Sarah built car.
Those wheels and tires are absolutely perfect for this car. Bar none.
As someone who was playing keys in a band in '82, love the sweet 80s synth pads. Bomb...🎹
That car is now absolutely beautiful! Whoever wins that is going to be very lucky indeed!
Once again, nicely done. I always look fwd to your videos. Outstanding craftsmanship and true dedication to doing things correctly. Keep up the great job.
Those wheels look amazeballs.
That body shop polish is magic..the wheels..sick
i’ve been waiting for this one so much
the wheels are sweet
Thank you Sarah!
Love the VHS-esque edits, Sarah!
Sarah those wheels are absolute 🔥🔥🔥 Really looks great 💯👍🔥
Howdy girl on the internet making video's!
Love your channel and am impressed with your work!
That's the wheel deal right there! Very cool.
I never tire of wheel jokes.
Turned that paint around beautifully! Silver lug nuts definitely. The wheels change everything! Your inability to compromise is greatness incarnate S!!!
Once again, nailed it on the wheel/tire combo!! There's going to be an extremely happy winner here!! Great job, keep it up!!
Wasn't too sure about the look of the wheels but after seeing the whole profile of the car it looks great. As an owner of an '82 Celica GT (sold mine in 1991 because it needed a clutch) - I'll be entering this contest - would love to have one again (garage kept) - it's also amazing how little rust this thing had - I replaced floorboards and most of the rear deck in 1990....
Yeah I’m nervous giving it away, lol. It’s rare in this good of shape.
Okay Sarah. I'm sold. Let see what you got in your Shop!
Gonna be an awesome Supra thanks to you 👍
The car is my childhood dream car and black is perfect. Very nice rim choice.
Wheels are delicious! 🥰
The interior upgrade looks nice, but those wheels are on point.
I appreciate the synthwave music that kicks in with the wheels and tires are installed.
One of your most interesting projects! Just the greatest 😊♥️
Sometime in the distant future, people will just say: that was a “Sarah” car and everyone will understand.
It's fantastic to see how excited you are about the wheels 😁. You're soooo into this build, and your enthusiasm is infectious 😊. Cute side note - I had a Matchbox one of these as a kid and it was my favourite. Black of course. Even on that teeny scale it was intriguing and alluring. Cool AF 👉👉👉. 😎
Wheels & tires are BEAUTIFUL!
Who ever wins this remember we'll be able to clone her from inside passenger door.
Actually You won´t 😅
Those wheels are outstanding! Great choice.
For the wheels - silver lug nuts, if you want the ‘period correct’ look.
Have always been partial to Hondas as Japanese imports go, but have always had a soft spot for the Supra from the 80’s. I grew up in the 80’s. Lots of great memories, especially with the cars of that era. Love this series. Great content as always!
Those wheels are fire! Silver lug nuts all the way, the black ones stick out like a sore thumb I think. I'm loving the 80's fx in the video, keep up the great work!
Miss Sarah... Love the humor delivery with real content.
You've got class Lady.
Oh cool, the door comes with a free Sarah sneeze in it 😁
The synth-pop soundtrack was amazingly fitting for this whole video series. And the Hayashis...*chef's kiss*
I was thinking black, but you're definitely right, silver is the way to go.
I had a 1884 Black Supra. It had the digital dash. It was the second car I ever bought. It brings back many memories. I wish I still had it. While in the US Army I drove it from Washington state to Kentucky to my next duty station. It was like my own Kit Car, except better. I also had the louver on the back window.❤
i have a 1983 celica. i love watching these car getting restored.
For the Toyota Logo on the Louvers, you may contact Spinnywoosh. He does make a lot of reproduction decals for Mazda, so I can imagine he'd be willing to make them for Toyota.
Crazy, insane or proper.. doesn't matter. i love that you clean everything before putting them back in the car!
The right wheels really can make such a difference. Looks awesome!!
Previously I have commented that I rather liked the original Toyota alloys. But now I see the alloys you have chosen to replace them and they look double gorgeous. Double gorgeous? Is that possible?
Sarah you have great taste when it comes to automobile styling.
The Supra is turning out to be crazy cool. Love it!
love the wheels 10/10 choice, you nailed it.
Honestly I bet you could get hundred thousand plus for this car in Scottsdale , instead your giving this away to one of your very luck subscribers , what a big heart ! You are amazing!
That car looks soooo sweet with that wheel size and style!
"I'm not crazy, I just take care of my vehicles." - I have said the exact same thing to people before regarding why I car wash and clean my vehicles so much.
I think the Supra logo that takes up the entire back of the hatch looks the best❤
That car is coming out great
Thank you Sarah!
Those wheels are spot on for that car, excellent choice.
