New York City taxpayers are the ones funding this policy, and New York City is one of the most liberal, migrant-friendly areas in the country. If you happen to be a conservative who lives in New York City, then you might consider trying to convince the voting public to oppose this kind of policy - but good luck with that. Let's also not forget that NYC is almost entirely populated by families with migrant backgrounds - particularly the Irish, Italians, Cubans, and Haitians, where most people have stories about their family arriving to that city as an immigrant.

I did the math as well as I could. US population is about an estimated 340 million people. Divide 450 billion by 340 million. For every billion dollars comes out to about $2.90 for every man , woman, and child in America.450 times $2.90 equals about 1305 dollars for every one.The average family of four that’s over five thousand dollars. That would have been a nice stimulus check.

What about seeing some prepaid cards for veterans and senior citizens instead? I've been a tax paying citizen. I've been retired a few years now and I'm just shy of 70. The last 2 years I literally don't have grocery's the last week of the month and is stretching into more like ten days I'm in a food deficit.. My soc sec retirement amount is still under the poverty level. Struggling like this and seeing the government giving illegal IMMIGRANT cash while working citizens are in dire straits here. It literally reduces us to being second class citizens. And treats ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS as it is biggest concern. I'm horrified that this is being tolerated. What should be the time in my life that I set down and enjoy time to rest reflect spend time with grandkids I can't have my grand kids here where I have to keep my heat set at 67-68 because otters wise it gets to high to pay.
