My family, from different branches, came here from Eastern Europe, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Italy in the early 1900s. They didn't just walk in, they were vetted, and had permission to get off of the "boat". They wanted to be "Americans" and even changed their names to be more American sounding. They found gainful employment in all of the industries that we had here and made lives for themselves and assimilated and were loyal to America. They didn't ask for anything but the chance to work for a living, raise a family, and were proud when they could buy a house. Now we are letting people just walk in with no industry to give them to work in, and want taken care of. That's not how it works. ...Why aren't they going to China? Isn't that where the jobs are?
