There is a cool little detail at 2:58 that I didn't know about - if you break the ghost pot on an enemy, they become 'cursed', like what a certain mummified enemy does to you in the temple, reducing the health immediately to 1. That is why that mole died from the next hit, since it only had 1 hp due to the curse, you can also see the grey little particle effect around it. Pretty cool!
The hired hands are actually kind of helpful now. They don't suck as much as they did in Spelunky 1. I use them to carry stuff like keys, Monty, and other items

This is clearly fake, the ai is improved! like they’re like *GOD* level now. Also another tip, you can take packs off by crouching and pressing whatever the button is for buying items/entering doors

You were correct although its a tad risky when you have skulls,rocks and or arrows to take him out with. Have a great day.
2:50 it's better to put the items in the very corner of the shop before jumping out because they can be in the shop and let you still pick them up as long as they're very close to the edge of the shop
Also shotgun jumping and you shold have mentiond you can drop your backpacks like the teleporter pack and jetpack by pressing down and the door enetry button
here's my own technique (and yes I do have copyright ownership) that feels good to use use enemies to platform: just lure them, or position them. bats are useful since they can fly, just make sure they're lured on level or below you and you can straight up hold and position the bulky enemies
Hey did you know that in 1-4 you can unlock a secret a secret ghost shop and that allows you down to play pick up Paula and gets you any item you can imagine but you couldn't just kill him and then get all the yummy loot for yourself or alternatively you could just buy everything what's this one in that but you have to require the camera that's the way you have to kill that guy and also he touches you he's like a ghost
@@jackhasgames I also have another Secret secret is very special see if you ever unlock seated runs you can unlock seated runs from getting all characters in the game then make your way to the very top up the ladder right after that it's right next to the first ship you see and it's a wooden Tiki man but I was on the first to discover this it was a man named kitten I think I don't remember the name but I'll get back to you on is the name
Does anyone use the default run? I thought of switching but I am getting used to it and I hold down the button the few times I need to walk instead... if I'm gonna switch I prob need to do it soon before I get to used to one way or the other. What do you guys use??
I use default run, its because I'm on PC and holding shift makes my left hand get tired faster. It took a little time to get used to but its helped me in the long run Edit - by this I mean I have to hold the button down to walk, I run by default

(unless I am like on 1hp deep in the game), even use the walk button. I think default run is fine, I don't think you really need to walk, it just helps in a few tight spots.

That “curse” has a little something you can do with it on 1-4 if you manage to hit yourself with the pot.

The AI of the hired hand is a lot better now, at least for me they are pretty useful

Having walk by default allows for more precise movement. Might be ineffective if you're use to auto running tho
