    Pelican also makes trekpak for some of their other cases like the 1510 Air which is the largest one you can get and use as a carry on 😎

    Thanks for the video Justin! Last week I decided to roll a 47” case around a wedding. I returned that bad boy. I now have more appreciation for my multiple, smaller Nanuk and Pelican roller cases.

      @JustinPorterMedia  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh yea. I don’t roll around with this during the wedding. Usually I set up shop wherever the reception will be and use peak design slings to hold essentials like a lens, mics, straps etc.

    Great video man. Love having a lid organizer on my 1510, absolute game changer. I’m actually curious about what WASNT in this case. Do you have a Lighting case that carries all your Godox lights, reflectors, batteries and light stands? What about an audio case for audio cables, lav mics, XLR recorders, etc. Would love to see videos breaking those down too!

    As a former micro four thirds user, that 12-100 is interesting. That’s equivalent to 24-200. With a f4 aperture on micro four thirds, that’s equivalent to f8 full frame in terms of depth of field. As wedding videographers, people make a big deal out of bokeh. I’m curious about your feelings on shooting with a deeper depth of field rather than shallow, at least with the 12-100.

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před 2 lety +1

      I can’t wait to talk about that in the gimbal video. In short, I love it. When filming at 100mm you have enough depth when you use frame blocking. It looks amazing in my opinion. I wouldn’t use it as my main camera but for gimbal work it’s phenomenal especially because I have to manually pull focus.

    Good video. Quick question.... As a wedding filmmaker, why did you decide to invest in pocket cameras over canon / sony?

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před rokem

      It was sort of accidental lol. I got my Ursa mini for corporate work. Then covid happened and I needed an extra camera at a wedding I was filming. Took the Ursa and was blown away with its performance. That’s what led to me switching entirely to the pocket 6K

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před rokem

      Of course. If you want a great out of the box camera I would say the Sony ZV1. It’s a vlog camera but doesn’t require much to get going. I used it as the top down angle in this video.

  • @smoovboyproductions684

    Great video as always, but WAIT!..What happened the Irrix lenses from your earlier videos 🤔?

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před 2 lety +1

      Sadly I sold them. I still have the irix 30mm but I needed something more practical for how I film weddings. The fixed focal lengths slowed me down a great deal and lack of ibis in the cameras made holding 20 minute takes brutal lol.

  • @Vadlife

    Late but awesome video! Thank you for the breakdown. One question/opinion from you. Since I full switch to Davinci Resolve and started to use more black magic gear like the speed editor. I was thinking of getting the Pocket 6k pro. I fully understand the pros & cons and I am still considering it. So my question is show i get it or wait to see if they come out with new model since it did come out in Feb. 2021?

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před 2 lety

      Thanks so much! Better late than never haha.
      So it really depends how badly you need it. If your current camera and workflow is fine then I’d hold off. If you’re in big need of a camera upgrade then I’d say get the 6K pro. It’s easily worth it still today even if they dropped a new lineup.

  • @valerintproductions

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey. Thanks so much for watching. I’d definitely say a 6K would be ideal. My honest opinion, I hate mft lenses because of low light and depth issues. For a gimbal setup, the pocket 4k is phenomenal. For a main A Camera, I don’t think it’s worth it.
