പറയപ്പെടുന്നത് കേൾക്കാൻ ആൾക്കാരില്ല. സത്യത്തിനു ചെവി കൊടുക്കാൻ ആർക്കും താല്പര്യമില്ല അതാണ് സത്യം
അവര്‍ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കിലും അവിടുത്തെ ദൈവമായി മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുകയോ അവിടുത്തേക്കു നന്‌ദി പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്‌തില്ല, മറിച്ച്‌, അവരുടെയുക്‌തിവിചാരങ്ങള്‍ നിഷ്‌ഫലമായിത്തീരുകയും വിവേക രഹിതമായ ഹൃദയം അന്‌ധകാരത്തിലാണ്ടുപോവുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ജ്‌ഞാനികളെന്ന്‌ അവകാശപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ട്‌ അവര്‍ ഭോഷന്‍മാരായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു.
അവര്‍ അനശ്വരനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം നശ്വരനായ മനുഷ്യന്റെ യോ പക്‌ഷികളുടെയോ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയോ ഇഴജന്തുക്കളുടെയോ സാദൃശ്യമുള്ള വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കൈമാറി.
അതുകൊണ്ട്‌ ദൈവം, അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഭോഗാസക്‌തികളോടുകൂടെ, ശരീരങ്ങള്‍ പരസ്‌പരം അവമാനിതമാക്കുന്നതിന്‌, അശുദ്‌ധിക്ക്‌ വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു.
എന്തെന്നാല്‍, അവര്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം ഉപേക്‌ഷിച്ച്‌ വ്യാജം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അവര്‍ സ്രഷ്‌ടാവിലുമുപരി സൃഷ്‌ടിയെ ആരാധിക്കുകയും സേവിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവിടുന്ന്‌ എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്‌ത്തപ്പെട്ടവനാണ്‌, ആമേന്‍.
