As someone who’s being trying to a Wyoming bull tag for 6 years now, I cannot describe now much I look forward to these hunts. I’m living vicariously through you guys.
How much is an elk tag in that area and how much have you paid thus far?
I don't live in the US, but I take it the tags are non-refundable, and that you *"can't"* just buy one after the fact.
Perhaps you just love the area and wish to shoot one locally (or the sunk cost fallacy has kicked in lol). But with the price of tags (~$5k according to google), wouldn't it have been a better financial decision to just pay up and head to a densely populated area with higher success rate?
An in state tag is usually under $100 USD
I watch every single minute of your videos and study your movements and how you interact with the landscape. There is NO ONE better on this platform that can even compare to your guys level. I've been hunting for 15 years and I have learned so much from you guys in recent years that have helped me take down some beautiful deer in upstate NY. Keep on doing what we all love to see! Casey I'm down here in NC and I agree with you 100%. Love these guys and one day will meet them and I'd love to hunt with them! Never a dull moment and that's what I love. None of that "we're gonna sit here in this corn field stand and wait on this high fence 245 inch whitetail to come to the feeder going off" what all do you hunt for? I'm getting into traveling atleast once a year to hunt ducks and/or deer and one day will learn to hunt elk. I don't know anything about NY buy would love to learn and hunt it one year in the near future.

This one makes me reminisce guys. I am now 58 but in 2005 me and 2 friends did a Colorado archery elk hunt. Those are memories I will never forget and as the years go by they become more and more cherished.

This is hands down one of if not the best video I’ve seen on CZcams in a long time. I really hope you guys get to have the same type of success through the ‘23 season. I look forward to hopefully seeing nick in an elk video and seeing what recipe he comes up with after a fresh kill over an open flame.

Well......I'm retired and the thought that comes to mind for me is that when you get my age, you will look back and say something like, "Man we were stupid. I wish we could do it again!" Oh, to be young again! I'm 74 and I cannot thank you guys enough for taking us along on this elk hunt. The scenery is fantastic. And the friends are so tight knit. I can't wait until next years hunt!!! I feel like I'm right there with you, except for the humping of course. 🤭I love your deer and turkey hunts as well, but the elk hunt is my favorite. Awesome!

I've one suggestion something my father taught me 63 years back. Your feet give off more odour than any other part, along with your head. So when you come upon fresh elk urine rub a handful on your boots

Excellent video! I was supposed to leave yesterday for a muzzleloader elk hunt in Colorado, but my dad had a stroke earlier in the week and I had to cancel my trip. As I sit here in the hospital by his bed, I've enjoyed watching these videos. I feel like I'm actually on the hunt with you guys. Thanks for all of your hard work in preparing these.

Congrats Zach and Crew y’all done an amazing job, especially raking the tree further up the trail to direct his attention on past where y’all was in your ambush position! That really took his concentration off of even thinking to look that close to him until it was too late. That’s a great strategic tactic to use in future hunts to have at least 3-4 people ! One Bugling and racking and using cow call back behind you to draw one right on top of ya like that. AWESOME STRATEGY!!! Congrats guys 👏🏼😁

This is the best hunting video I have seen, There are a lot of lessons to learn the biggest one for me is never to give up, it's the last call or minute you stay in the hunt that success comes down to.
That's pretty cool you all have a group of friends like that. Wish I had even just one friend like that.
I watch a lot of CZcams hunting videos in the off season, and this one is the epitome of why you guys are the best. There a lot of shows that talk about representing the public land hunter, but when you watch their shows, there’re accessing the land on side-by-sides, dirt bikes, e-bikes, horses, or lamas- pretty much every way the average public land hunter either cannot or won’t. You guys hunt like a lot of us do-in the back country, with heavy loads, on our own two feet-and you make it happen. I was bow hunting in Colorado in 22’ at the same time you all shot this video. I didn’t kill last year, but I had a blast hunting with a great group of friends just like you guys. Please don’t change-you’re the most authentic show out there.

Thar was a great video. Chasing elk is the ultimate. Did a 9 day hunt in North idaho and by the time it was over I had lost 7 toenails and worth every one of them.

2014 in Idaho we had this happen, we were sitting on a hillside and I told my guys that as soon as I call the elk will come from a certain direction. I called and 30 seconds later a bull jumped the fence and my bud heart shot him....his first elk ever!!! The best memory!!!!

That elk hunt was fantastic! I was literally screaming "Shoot now Zack"!! at my tv and before I could get the second one out Zack's arrow was going through the chest. I have helped pack out several elk but never 8 plus miles one way at 11,000 feet altitude and then do it twice!! You guys are studs!!!
Best hunting show on youtube, fun to watch and I learn something every time I watch. Regretfully for me I got a late start in hunting elk and deer and now at 80 I will never be able to do the kind of hunts you do but I will always watch The Hunting Public to see how it's done.

WOW, what a production. I know it took you guys a lot of work all the way around, but this is probably the best elk-hunting video I've ever seen and have seen a lot! I know you will probably not be able to read this, but please know your professional attitude (little cursing, humor when needed, and respect for the people watching) goes a long way. This is what we all need to bring us back from prideful videos where the shooter thinks it was all about him shooting the bull. I'm impressed!
