He's in a class with Ringo Starr. Not bad for being underrated. He's a natural born drummer. Most drummers his age have had hip and tendon surgeries, foot surgeries. John manages to rise above the limelight of stardom. The Doors album remixes put him upfront. He's became individually famous in the past 10 years.

PERFECT for 32nd notes. careful cuttin the 2 plies though! ....you know in the event that im not the only extreme metal drummer here watchin densmore.

Jim relished in making Densmore feel uncomfortable. Read Ray Manzarek's 'Light My Fire.' There are some funny excerpts where Ray discusses Jim's relationship w/ Densmore. Btw, I met Densmore once, and he was a nice guy when I met him.

You don't often hear that sentiment - he downplays the spiral into decadence in the end of the 60's, and wants to call more attention to the positive middle-60s. I have always felt the same, and I am sad to know the positive spiritual energy that went to waste has never reemerged.
I read Rays bio! Densmore is a great drummer! But It’s a little known fact that Jim wanted to replace him but Ray wouldn’t let him. Apparently he hated him for being too square! Compared to Jim he was too conservative. And Jim couldn’t stand him!
it's a good book and the three were/are excellent musicians, but I feel somehow that they continued to live too much through Jim concerning the music they made; maybe less so Robbie. But maybe it's because of some kind of PTSD being in the band that only they could know about.
This was painfully awkard to watch, holy shit. John Densmore can sue Robbie and Ray but he can do THIS shit? I read John's book, it has some interesting stuff in it when he's not bashing Jim and the Doors.

densmore very underated i love john he cared more about jim than anyone robbie was a sweetie but he couldnt say no 2 ray he loved jim 2 ray is a cool guy but he tries to run everything to pushy i think jim and him had the most problems i agree densmore didnt like the way jim was going the movie kinda sucked because it didnt really show much truth and pam jims common law wife girlfreind gets blamed for causing jims problems like densmore its true and it irks me when u hear that john is the best
