I remember when my oldest child turned 18 years old. She went off to college. I am a father of many words, but that day was to hard for me to give her some advice. So i taped this song and i put it in her cassette recorder as my final advice. Letting your childeren go is the hardest thing to do as a parent. Man i cried my eyes out that day with my wife.

Transported to my younger years real quick.. Honestly, 80's and 90's songs are so powerful and so soulful, no nudity, meaningful, no effects, just a good band and a wonderful vocalist... A must at this very trying times..

I'm currently systematically going through a LOT of 1980s and 1990s lyrics and the sheer number of songs that frame the love interest as a child is actually starting to make me feel a little ill. This is a grown man (this is a cover from the 1970s btw) writing a song for his girlfriend (with whom he's presumably been having sex) but she is apparently too innocent to be in the world on her own and he chooses to remember her 'as a child'. It's nostalgic to listen to but really really gross when you start to think about it. Don't get me wrong, there is great music from this era, but it was in no way shape or form morally 'better' than today's rock

Actually much more than that since it's Cat Steven's gem. However Mr Big made amazing cover and it was such a huge smash hit everywhere. Song had heavy rotation, I remember I could hear it on radio stations in my country like 7-8 times per day
Tonight 15,000 of us sang together this song at the Mr. Big concert at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, louder than the band. It was a chilling experience, so much I cried.
