You're absolutely right. It's incredibly hard to find someone you can really click with. Their harmony during the chorus (starting at 2:16 ) is the sort of thing you hear _tons_ of solo singer-songwriters do on their records by overdubbing - however... to have an actual person there singing it live really adds something special.
