    In my experience, every time I used the Area Rug brush, i found a lot of hair/fiber build up on the brush cover which causes a very weak suctions. I use the multi surface brush on all floors and carpets, and so far i had no issues with my crosswave.
    Thank you for the video.

    Yes, I think you’ll have a happy customer. I followed your video for this repair and there was a bunch of hair around the shaft that the brush hooks onto. However, it’s still not turning freely. It turned freely when I had it apart and cleaned all the hair out but when I put it back in not turning freely, I think the problem is with the other end, with the shaft that hooks into the motor. Any suggestions?

    On my machine the brush roller will turn and then it stops. I cleaned/removed debris , replaced the brush cover because the tab broke off and put a new brush roller and again it stopped turning. My next step is to check out the bearing. I'll let you know if I'm a happy customer. very good video!

    A bad roller brush could be the cause of the machine turning off. I tried everything but then noticed a post that suggested it could be a faulty brush. I did just change mine out and I checked it and that is the issue. I switched it out for another one and it works like a champ. I bought them off of Amazon and I guess one of the brushes was faulty. So yes try that first before tearing down the machine.

    I gave one to my daughter. She used in one time. It worked great on the hardwood floors but when she switched to a low pile area rug, it leaked like a sieve after two passes! She had to remove the water containers to stop it from making a giant puddle.
    I found your video, and since she can't bring it over for me to look at for another week, I was wondering if the two "black hoses" on the underside were the water delivery hoses and maybe one or both came disconnected?
    Any input is welcome. I am hoping you have dealt with this before.

    Biggest issue I have with this machine is uneven dispensing of cleaning solution, one side only
    Flows like a few inches into towards Center of brush, other side seems fine. Even a new foot window doesn’t salve the issue so I’m left thinking there is an air leak somewhere. Spraying water through the cleaner nozzles shows leaking from around the edge of the circular but that has the hole it’s SUPPOSED to come out of, not sure if that’s the issue or if, again, there is an air leak somewhere in the foot. Next step is going to Bea rubberised adhesive to seal the foot up around the Brus compartment.

    • @richardsvacuumcenter
      @richardsvacuumcenter  Před 2 lety +2

      No not every time. And the frequency just depends on how much hair you found in there the first time you did it. If it was packed I would say you may want to check it again in 3-4 months. Since different households have different levels of long hair, it's hard to recommend a specific frequency broadly.

    @FLauryDawn Před 5 měsíci +1

    Taking this apart was a nightmare. Nothing popped in & out smoothly like in this video. I had to hammer one of the things out, then put it back in place with a channel lock.
    @9:00 The Pet Crosswave bottom plate is attached with 2 tiny screws, so you first need to pop the tabs where the brush goes & pry it up enoigh to slide the the rubber wiper-like thing out, then you can see the tiny screws (2) just outside each side of the big square center part inside where the rubber wiper was.
    After a few hours of doing all of this, and I did get everything cleaned well, reassembled, etc., the crosswave would STILL not power on.
    The first thing Bissell instructs you to try is to remove & reinsert the handle and check the cord for damage. My crosswave has barely been used, has no cord damage, etc. still no sign of life. 😢

    • @richardsvacuumcenter
      @richardsvacuumcenter  Před 5 měsíci

      Next time I have a cross wave come in with no power I’ll record a diagnosis and possible repair. However my experience has usually been finding out they are unrepairable when they stop working due to parts not being available (there is a pc board inside and that could be the culprit).

    I have a bissell crosswave 2211w, the spray isn't spraying water, I have checked the cover, I cleared the nozzles, and I replaced the clean water tank. Do you know what I can do?

      Sounds like you might have a bad pump. But I do not know for sure. Might want to drop it off at a repair shop to confirm.

      was the bearing spinning freely? if you still have it apart, you can turn it on and see if the motor starts turning with the belt off.

      @@richardsvacuumcenter It was spinning freely. I put it back together, but will try this. Thank you!

      Mine won't budge at all. Please. I've put my crosswave parts in temporary hiding because my boyfriend has literally taken a mallet and screwdriver to it and I'm scared for it's life. Please help me

      It could be melted if it’s not coming out very easy.

      Sounds like your motor might be giving up. Probably had bearings (common in machines that are used to pick up water).

    What a lame design. I guarantee engineers spend just as much time figuring out ways to cause something to fail at a specific interval then they do making the product reliable. There's no reason this shouldn't have an o-ring to isolate the bearing... If I had the time and money I'd engineer a part to replace this particular piece and sell it myself because a 3D printer and a bearing distributor is all you would really need. That shaft isn't complicated to get/ design and you could probably make a kit so that you can use your original shaft because it looks pretty easy with a little bit of force to pop it out.
    Thing is there wouldn't be much of a market for it unfortunately because people don't know that this is a thing and don't understand why the performance of there vacuum has decreased over time.

      Hi Donna. First, I do not know what issue you have. I have never seen a machine with this same issue. Secondly, the way you commented comes across very entitled as if you expect an answer right away. It is very rude and inconsiderate to contact someone in this manner (without indicating any gratitude) and expect them to answer your question on your time frame. I do hope you get your problem figured out. Likely, you will need to bring it to a repair shop and I would recommend not treating them like you’ve treated me.

      This man is giving free advice. He doesn't get paid to answer questions. He has no obligation to answer you at all. You also gave a terrible description of your problem. I would have answered you myself had you been polite, as I had the same issue in the past.

      There is another video with a similar machine that tells you exactly how to fix that issue it is also a Bissell crosswave but it is a newer model
