  • Today's video is a cross between a vertical easel card and a faceted type fold - so I came up with a Faceted Diamond Vertical Easel Card. This can also be turned round into a Faceted Diamond Easel Card. Both cards fold flat for posting and will fit in an envelope for a 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"

    Wow! Amazing work. I just did the Hexagonal faceted fold as a birthday card for a dear friend. The only hard part for me is cutting the layers for the sides. Thank you for the tip but I may try doing the squares to see how easier it will be. Grrr! But, thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us.

    • @icedimages
      @icedimages  Před 2 lety

    Great card. Sound was fine, didn't hear any background noise either. I wonder if if might be easier to cut the layers with a square nesting die and make the opening to match. Thanks for all the thought and fiddling you've put in to bring us this carf

    • @icedimages
      @icedimages  Před 2 lety

      Thank you! You could use square nesting dies for the matt and pattern layers as long as you know exactly where the folded apperture will be. 👍

    Hello, I’m from the states. First of all this card is lovely! I can’t wait to make it!! I have a question, however, what is the tape you are putting on the back? You are able to tear it. I would love to have that for my card making. Thanks for your beautiful work.

    • @icedimages
      @icedimages  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much! I use double sided tape - which I normally get from Hobbycraft or similar craft shops over here in the UK. I think that some of the american craft suppliers also do a tearable double sided tape - it's a paper tissue tape, rather than a more gel based type tape. I hope that helps.

    • @icedimages
      @icedimages  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much! I think I used about 250gsm for the card base. My matt layers were about 280gsm and my pattern layers were about 200gsm. The main thing to think about is not to go too thick for the main card base. You can get away with pattern paper that's about 140gsm and a matt of about 200gsm if your card base is around 240- 275gsm. Hope that helps. 😊
