YOOOOO, that outro was siiiick! It hit so hard!!!
Personally, I like Keystone more than Breck. Breck's runs felt way shorter than Keystone's. But there are a few places in Breck that are definitely harder.
Totally agree for my own personal riding!
What a sick video. I agree with everything you said. My wife is a beginner/easy blue rider only and she hates keystone.
But point her down peak 8/9 at Breckenridge and she's having the time of her life.
Can't wait for this season!
She is the one that really opened my eyes to that point! 💪🏼
If you're living out in the front range (greater denver area) keystone plus pass is a huge bang for your buck! Stoked for the season!
Yes!
Love the New ending. Sickkk 👍🤟
Thanks!
Been working on it for awhile. Not 💯 done
Tree riding was always my favorite
Steamboat is still my favorite in Colorado just because of the night riding
Me too!
It’s so fun!
You've been slamming a lot just stay safe
You're pretty safe with the way you ride so I believe in you
my parents said im able to go to beaver creek in december, it’s a long time, but its gonna be worth it because its gonna be my first time in colorado
Great breakdown! LOVE Keystone! It's really underrated. Wife loves Breck for beginner runs and Beaver Creek for the shops lol. Wanna ride Telluride one day fo sho!! I got to visit a couple times with a friend just for a day trip, so couldn't go riding.
You have to go bro!
We did Breck last season and loved it (for the most part). It really is the total package - great resort with a great ski town too (a legit town, not a fake base town like a lot of others). What I really like about Breck is the natural progression - granted you have to know which slopes to hit since a "green" can be anything from a mellow cruiser like off QuickSilver to near-blue action like upper parts of Lower Four-O'clock (which sometimes has bumps). Also, my understanding is the progression from green to blue is very natural too if you know which runs to start with.
My main gripe with Breck is that, like a lot of Vail resorts, it is catastrophically expensive if you don't get one of the Epic passes in advance. For example, it was $255/day at the window during Spring Break - basically, you can get a ski/board lesson + discounted lift ticket for the same price. If I had it to do over again, I would get 4-day Epic passes for everyone instead. I did a full Epic pass early on, which came with buddy passes. Pro tip - if you buy lift tickets, they can be refunded if you don't ski or never make it off the bunny hill (we got about $2k back that way). Yeah, they looked at us funny, but we got the money back. LOL
Anyway, we enjoyed it so much, we moved to Colorado - so this will be our first season as residents. We all have Epic Local passes and plan on hitting Breck a lot and trying out the others. I'm particularly interested in the McCoy park in Beaver Creek which is a "beginner bowl" area. I also have heard that BC is "too beginner friendly" which sounds perfect for me.
Yes go to BC and congratulations on moving to CO! You guys will be crushing all the blues and greens for sure. Just wait on heading to keystone till you guys are crushing blues!
Keystones my favorite
Me too
Thank you for making this video! This confirmed what I was thinking for my first trip to colorado.
Yes! That is why I did it 😁
Going heli skiing in telluride in Jan!
Yes! That is so fun
Little late to the party, but if you’re looking to go to Telluride and you got the funds, definitely fly into Montrose, just an hour drive away
Love teluride
Right!
You gotta come to Idaho we have some of the best snowboarding around
I am down!
Breck is my favorite because of the total package. The variety of terrain, the town, accessibility etc….
100% it’s awesome
1. Vail 2.Telluride 3.Brek 4.Keystone 5. Beaver Creek is my list although Brek is too flat mostly
epic pass AD military discount baby!
You guys deserve it 🙏🏼
Got mine too $156.00 early bird price!
Keystone!!!
🙌🏼
Totally agree with Keystone. I love Keystone but dude, their _greens_ are hard. They have probably one of the better bunny/learning areas but then the jump up to a real green at Keystone is huge. First, Schoolmarm is 3.5 miles with some rather steep parts that really should be a blue just about anywhere else (especially coming from the east) the only saving grace is that the run is pretty wide for most of the way down, so you can terrace if you have to. Also, Schoolmarm is a highway - most other runs either start or end on Schoolmarm - so there is a lot mixing abilities. My first time down took me nearly 2 hours, my second time was closer to 90 minutes. A good beginner should be able to do it in 45 minutes or less. Like you said, Keystone is an intermediate mountain - period. If you are a first-timer, you probably are going to have more fun on the tubing hill (which is legit). I'm going to lap Breck until I can safely enjoy Keystone again - although their expansion this year looks pretty nice.
Some advice: I'd actually take someone down Spring dipper before Schoolmarm. Because SM gets so busy, beginners don't have as much space to spread out their turns. But Spring Dipper is nearly just as mellow and wide, with like 20% of the people. Honestly, the main point is just to avoid Schoolmarm.
@@josiahsimmons9866 Spring Dipper didn't even register as an option since it is blue on the map and heck, if I'm struggling with SM, I wouldn't have much of a chance on a Keystone blue. But, it sounds like a great goal - get proficient enough to handle Spring Dipper. Thanks for the recommendation.
Wow you killed this comment 🙏🏼
@@JasonTaylor-po5xc Spring dipper used to be classified as a green till halfway down it. There's only one turn I would consider to be blue, and it's plenty wide for a beginner to take lots of turns on. My mother is a VERY beginner skiier and she was able to do it. I 100% stand by saying that Spring Dipper is easier than Schoolmarm and was really classified as blue for the convenience of Ski Patrol.
@@josiahsimmons9866 Thanks, I may give it a go next time I'm at Keystone. My sister can do blues at Keystone so I'll do it with her next time. I'm pretty comfortable with the greens off QuickSilver at Breck peak 9 and some of the greens off Rips on peak 8. The higher part of Lower 4 O'Clock is hard for me once I get past that, I'm good the rest of the way back to the parking lot. I'm hoping to get in another lesson at the start of the season to get me ready. Thanks for the advice.
the freezing cold is my least favorite part of skiing ⛷🤬🥶
Yes
That new outro 👀👀👀
Not finished yet 🤘🏼
Breck is my favorite and has treated me well every time haha. Solid list for sure and reasoning…
Thank you!!
Im skiing breck, what should I start with? It’s my first time and im intermediate advanced skier
Peak 6 or upper peak 8!
Thanks bro
Might as well hit all of them if you got the pass lol
Yes!
Keystone is still my favourite. Breckenridge sucks. Your kid is so adorable.
Thank you 🙏🏼. keystone for the win!
Can you please please please do a limited run of the small multicolored Lego stickers with skier 🥺🥺 I really want one for my six year olds helmet but he a skier. He has a Lego balaclava and it would be perfect.
I will look into! I don’t have any of that vinyl right now. I will have to order it.
What’s the best Colorado resort with Ikon?
Aspen
There's a lot of arguments to be made. A-Basin is really good, but it's less beginner friendly. I believe Copper is more friendly, but I don't know it as well. Anything else I've honestly not been to.
I am making that video next! Winter park or copper though. Steamboat is insane too
Forgot about Aspen area
For experts Abasin for sure
Don't go to A-Basin. It sucks and the locals are really mean. :D
I agree I wouldn’t go there
A Basin isn’t for tourists and beginners. I loved going there on Gaper Day.
I am so sorry you had that experience!
Definitely an experts mountain
It’s for advanced riders for sure
I think keystone is actually pretty beginner friendly. Sure there is peak 9 at Breck but learning on schoolmarm is about as good as it gets. Btw, don't go to Beaver Creek. Especially on a powder day. Just trust me..
I disagree. Comitting to 3.5 miles as a beginner can get gnarly. And all the people it gets crazy too
@@joeyksnowboards for me it was ideal. You can learn in one run. I learned to snowboard there
@@joeyksnowboards Spring Dipper, despite its new designation as a blue run, is much better for learning than Schoolmarm.
I sadly disagree. I think Schoolmarm is a nightmare of a run. 3.5 miles is way to long for any beginner. It’s the only green from the top down so it’s super busy. And the top section is so flat. I have watched people struggle on the run for years. I am not a fan.
💯
The epic pass is only $300 more than my local "mountain" and mine only includes one "resort". When I say "mountain" I mean "hill" and when I say "resort" I mean "bar/lodge"
You'll know what I mean if you make it to song mountain in Tully New York 😂😂
Oh we will! I cannot wait to see it 😂
@@JohnathanBuckhouse oh God!!!! I'm going to be so embarrassed but I'll meet you up there.
This video could be a short or tiktok
It could!
TikToks are now 10 minutes long
@nolanallen5268 pretty sure tiktoks can be up to 3 minutes. I clicked away after I heard telluride. Keep it short, say these are the 5 best places, short clip, and move on. Doesn't need to be a 2.5 minute explanation for each. It's boring, simple as that.
@@connorstevens7999 what’s real boring is reading your comments bitching
How much you guys think breck paid him to say there number 1
I wish Breck paid me 😂
Ahh
What’s your list?
Loveland a basin love land love land lees hill
Loveland a basin love land love land lees hill
Please stop promoting T lol if they didn’t know about it you don’t deserve to. Been riding there since ‘92 every year.
Hard not to promote. It’s the best!
I am def worried for Telluride, on a powder day during the week the lines were pretty bad. That little place is no secret anymore.
Please take the pole out of your ass, if it wasn’t there in before ‘92 then it doesn’t deserve to be there now
Vail is the worse by far and beaver creek is the best one.
I’ve never been to either but I have heard complaints about horrible lift lines
Love Beaver Creek
That is any Colorado mountain peak season or weekend
