    Perfect for them to go in, you can't force them in there. But shelter is for them lol. Having the wall gives more of a shelter from the weather. What no bloopers. Take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))

    nice, I am digging the goat layout. we have Kiko and they don't go in the barn much, late at night and when its raining hard, they will go in. some kid in the barn, some don't. I do bring the kids in if they kid in the pasture. one question, what is that white stuff out in the pasture?? we don't get that stuff very much in SC. we have big PVC pipe cut in half for feeding. I will have to show that in the next update on our channel. thanks for sharing.

I could spend money on better fencing. Those feeders made out great wood gonna last a long time. Just feed your small herd in there only for few weeks cus they not stupid when it comes to food. Feed them at your dinner table and they’ll come 😅😂🤣😂. Had 2 Arabian stallions come in to dining room for a magazine photo shoot for a Thanksgiving dinner.....so calm and beautiful with their teacup muzzle and arched necks. Now that’s crazy!!! Just wondering what everyone uses and if there is something better. great video

    • @SawyerRidgeFarm
      @SawyerRidgeFarm  Před 4 lety

      I honestly use the old fashioned way. I was having the same problem trying to figure out the best way to keep records. I remember asking around also, but then I just found out that getting a 3 ring binder and making separate tabs for each kind of animal was just as efficient. I have tabs for each kind of animal and also keep tabs for farm income and expenses (for tax reasons). I know this might not be much help, but that’s the way that I do it.

    I may have not seen the video but could you show how you made the hay rack? I've got two calves that I hate throwing their hay on the ground because they make a mess of it ( if you know what I mean😉). Have a great week!

    Did you use lathing strips before you installed the metal roof?

      Evita Rijnbeek yes, it definitely is! And we’ve thought about doing that instead of building a whole new one when we get more goats on the farm.

    Have you thrown a Cedar sapling or two in with your goats? Everyone says they love them. Christmas trees too! Hahaha

      Yes, we’ve thrown them several! They’ll eat them for a little while but then move on to something else.
