Hey, Great question. Triangle layers are shorter in the back, gradually getting longer towards the front. This haircuts layers will fall flatter. Long layers can appear to look very similar.

Ha, this is my accidental haircut! I’ve been trying to learn how to cut my own hair. It’s frustrating and tiring, but I like the puzzle. However, last time, I got inpatient snd deviated from the system I was using. My freestyle was not very good. Then I found your videos. I’ve found them the most clear and precise of all the videos I’ve watched. I’ll follow this one next! I’ve cut too short in the front, so I’ve been looking for a video that starts there. Thanks!

Yes each sections new guide increases the width of your finger. My sections are approximately 1/2 inch, as the hair density is very fine near the ends. If hair quality was a lot thicker my sections would be thinner.
