Honestly, dont matter the color of the deck or if is new or the same, CGB content is fun to watch ( when is UW is just even better imo)
The truest real. I could also watch CGB play UW control for 10 hours trait lol
I love these "does it Bo1" videos. Especially pulling from the pros, very fun to see decks you know are good applied to the format most of us play on the daily. EDITOR: We need some kinds of "Yes, it Bo1s" stamp to put on the screen at the end of these.
I feel like people don't realize how crazy three steps ahead truly is. It's so good
YES MORE BLUE-WHITE!!!! It's my favourite archetype to watch you play because you do it so expertly and it's immensly satisfying! ❤❤❤
Love the new highlighted comment segment! Good idea for driving engagement, but fun to hear your response as well. Keep up the awesome show!
Would be awesome to showcase that Jeskai build next - seems really good and fun to play.
What was interesting is he beat his worst matchup (Temur Analyst) and lost to what I would of thought his easier matchup (Ramp). But I watched the watch party and you called that second game. Where he had to change to aggressive and put ramp on pressure.
like the new intro and edits
love that they're bringing us moments like 12:23
Was surprised the high noon deck didn't have a counterspell locked and loaded to protect their sphinx
MORE BLUE-WHITE
(just actually enjoing you explaining your thinking process during games and blue-white games tend to have more details here and there depending on situation)
That first game was a good one, Boros actually playing some smart sneaky magic rather than just dropping everything they have.
Honestly, though that first game was so good it was amazing. They had the flash commando in case she dropped a temporary lockdown if things just broke their way a little bit better I think CGB would’ve absolutely been dead.
Love seeing you pilot UW control, literally can't get enough! Absolutely love control and watching a pro like you or any other make tough control decisions is so much fun and helps me learn as well
so refreshing to see someone who knows how to play UW control. can be scary but it's so rewarding
When i started out control was so alien to me, and now this is the main thing i love from you, ive learned so much about timing, threat assessment, reading the opponent, etc. Thanks for dropping knowledge every day or however often you decide to do it!
Liking the new card flash ups in the intro
Fair play to the first Boros player, they played that deck really well.
LOVE the control videos. Thanks!
33:31 clipable moment right there. Brilliant reaction 😂😂
Recently I found running a single Celestus helps out a lot on ladder in BO1's - at least once aggro runs out of steam as it helps stabilize via life gain. Could just be me though, but I like it in a blue-white control
I'm A.L.W.A.Y.S up for more UW control. Keep it going !
three steps ahead is such a great name for a counterspell
Hey CGB, what would you include in a UW Timeless deck? I feel like there's too many garbage combos and no interaction.
Dear CGB, what are your thoughts on 'Wash Away'? With Mono Red relying so heavy on the Plot mechanic, I've had so much success hitting Rukus, Plot-Bird, and Squee right when they think I'm stuck on 1 Blue mana xD Even countered a Memory Deluge on a W/U mirror match!!! I"m having a hard time giving it up for the Phantom Interfence...
keep the control decks coming! maybe dive into so other color combos? that would be amazing
I'd be interested in your take on Jeskai High Noon (Jesk-High Noon, perhaps?). I messed around with it in a planeswalker deck so that you had more game actions that weren't casting spells and it seemd like there was something to it.
Just play U/W control all the time. I’m here for it!
Great video.
More! Always more UW!
I love Control, I still play MTG after 20 years exclusively because of Control (Mono U, Azorius).
Love the idea of putting a clip at the beginning for engagement, but why that clip 😂
I like the new intro!
Seeing those mono R scoop is... hum delicious!😂
Early congrats on the 200k subscribers, it is imminent. "Never didn't have it" :)
Nice new editing
Yes more blue white control please
CGB I needs your help, I am super curious about a high noon and doorkeeper thrall deck. You are the only one who can help me solve this deck building quest.😊
Either that or a control version of a boombox deck.
Comment for the algorithm, Almost at 200k subs let’s go 🎉
So much UW it feels like we are in some sort of... Time Warp!
When are:
Coveted Falcon + Greed's Gambit
Cambal + Eiganjo Uprising?
I will say personally tbh I think that his list would like more temporary lockdowns main for best of 1 and for bo3 a jace even as 1 of in sideboard, there is little reason to make the domain matchup that much harder on yourself if you expect it coming, so on bo3 we definitely expects it on the arena ladder. I will say I love the 28 land matchup, even with 27 I feel that makes the land drops still a bit inconsistent to get on explorer (arena moment), even running 2 censors and 2 typhoons and deduces, so I will try to fit in another land
I want more blue white.
I’d watch a video of CGB doing commentary on that match.
Apparently High Noon and Jin Gitaxias Progress Tyrant are pretty good together...
First opponent played really well
MORE BLUE/WHITE!!!!!!
7:05 But the Emperor Protects!
Anyone got a deck list for that jeskai build?
Didnt i watched this video 2 days ago?!
Hot Tub stream incoming 🤞🤞
wooo mesa falcon guy
GG
Waiting for a rotation proof deck since finally we get rid of those annoying spell in 4 months
Nooo I miss the old intro music 😭
Uh oh @Tinil0 is gunna be pissed 😱
Yes more UW!!!!
I dislike playing w/b control, I dislike playing against it but cgb makes it look so darn fun!
38:00 oof, shoulda countered that high noon.
MOAR UW!
i just want to appear on the next video!!!! so ... mmm... NO Blue White Control!
Well, he did get the meta right. In Bo1 however, I am running into Cavern of Souls left and right. I know he's playing a lot of Fields of Ruin and whatnot, but against a Dino tribal deck I was up against 3 Caverns and the game was unwinnable with this counterspell heavy deck. It's still solid, but there are some matches that are almost unwinnable thanks to Cavern of Souls unless you get lucky.
Look at the matches in the vid as well. He beat a mono red that got him to 3 life even though CGB went first and the opponent had 2 lands the whole game. I dont think this deck is worth playing at all. You can easily win if you draw the perfect answer the whole game but you can also easily lose if you dont... its a really bad deck for ranking up
I love watching you play blue white control. You perk up and seem even more engaged and locked in than usual. It's nice to watch you play some decks you clearly really enjoy playing! Plus blue white control is just fun to watch in general lol
I mean, in game one it makes perfect sense for them to be salty. They literally played perfectly, drew well, and it still didn't matter against Azorius control. That's the nature of Bo1 obviously, but I don't fault them for hating a deck that is designed to prevent you from ever having fun. Azorious control can feel very sadistic and personal.
More UW!!
Didn’t you release this like… yesterday?
No my dude, is diferrent deck, and better yet a new CGB video which is awesome
My mistake. I see the alterations now. I was honestly trying to give e a heads up if somebody kind of posted the same video twice.
I would say more uw but mostly more variety control videos. Would be nice to see you build control in others colours. We all know that azorius is the more efficient and powerful but there's alot of fun in the rest of the colour pie.
more UW Control 😼
Whatever happened to your little pup?
!
it makes me so happy that you know about "danger will Robinson" haha
You do you,
Play that White Blue!
CGB is such an Azorius fanboy. Get a room.
I'm famous now. 😌
21:27 “See even my counterspells are wincons” CGB [Phantom Interference]. But salt always was a wincon …
Anything that constipates toilet-gamers’ ladder dashes is worth watching!
I hate having to watch this just to support you, this control meta is traaaaaaaash. I blame Wanderer, it feels like she's been in the game since the pandemic.
... I'm being told she's been in the game since the pandemic. wtf
More Blue and White: yes. All Blue and White until you hit 200K???
ah yes, the azureus stuff that wins 99% of the time on patience.
How much I didnt miss you.
!
