How can you say that nobody expected Italy to win the last Euro?
They were in great form going into the tournament and had a solid defense. They were definitely my pick and I’m glad I was right.
so why did they not make it to the world cup ? a team that is expected to win euro should easily clear world cup elimination
To me Belgium have had chance after chance with the golden generation to do anything and have done nothing with that talent. Now they are older they’ll always be competitive but will never get over the rest of Europe anytime soon. To me they lost their chance.
A close second is England they alway play down to the competitions level no matter who they play in the big games. If they just straight played with a chip on the shoulder they could cruise through almost any team in Euro
Modric’s and Kovacic will be fine… but where are the goals coming from for Croatia? That’s the issue

Loved this talk, fun group of lads. I'm Belgian and seeing the title of the video I was like okay how many of them will pick us haha. I think in general people are a bit too harsh with the past 'golden generation', sure our play style was a snoozefest but result wise I mean 3rd at world cup 2018 for example isn't that bad... Now expectations are much lower which might let these talented youngsters play more freely and enjoy instead of crumbling under pressure, which is a good thing. Anyway I don't see us getting grouped (though I feel Ukraine is underrated) but I don't see us going past the quarters either. I kinda disagree on the Netherlands, I think people underestimate them cause they have less star players but that might prove an advantage in the form of better coherence. Tough to call cause ofcourse they're in a tougher group. My winner: Portugal, my dark horse (maybe a surprise): Czech Republic, my flop: one of the big 3 from group B lol, cheers!
I would say Martinez will do better with Portugal, than Fernando Santos ever did. They won't win the Tournemant, but i would say Semi-Final.
Dutch against France hit the post and were slightly offside when it was 2-1. 4-0 happened with the second team.
England may have one of if not the best attack overall, but people aren’t looking at that defense. Maguire and Stones coming off good seasons but one is an injury liability and the other is tactically limited. Chillwell and Shaw don’t give confidence on one side and on the other you’re still relaying on an aging Walker. When they play a team that can push them in the later rounds that defense is going to be the thing that holds them back.

That Belgium disrespect will never stop. When they prove all of y'all wrong and go to the quarters at least I'll have my self a laugh cuz that's what everyone says they at best reach quarters. Unbeaten for 13 games playing actually well. Just cuz they didn't win a trophy everyone saying they were bad while they lost in 2018 to the champions and in 2021 to the champions as well. I guess they were bad in 2022 but now they changed that and became a good team. Instead of keeping our minds in 2022 in that wc performance lets update it and see what they have done since then and so far they are the only unbeaten team since the WC and they faced England and Austria twice (really good team btw). Im not saying they will win they go quarters imo and semis depending on the road but that team is hella underrated

If losing the last Euro to Italy was deemed a failure then they are fucked. Because even if they have the best odds of winning it there’s still a big chance they lose
I honestly think that Belgium won’t beat the Netherlands. It’s the difference in defensive options, where the Netherlands almost has the best CB and RWB options in the world. I can’t name any Belgian defender that will make it even close to the Dutch national team. With inform strikers like Zirkzee on top the Netherlands could cause some trouble. I think many people sleep on us, but it is like y’all said, Koeman is making this team a sh*tshow, by choosing players on personality instead of quality
England isnt winning due to Southgate, Portugal I dont think will do good if they stick with ronaldo, Belgium is still too young, netherlands arent that good yet, Germany have a shout since home advantage, France is the obvious one going into it but mentality could be a factor, I dont think spain can win quite yet, very weak defense
