COPC Chiawelo 2014

Chiawelo Community Practice is an attempt to implement the Karks model of Community-Oriented Primary Care in South Africa as true to the Karks as possible. An implementation framework is used to make it both simple and profound: deploying CHWs into the community; re-orienting the PHC service; engaging stakeholders; and health promotion. The video explains this model and shows how it has been implemented to great effect in Soweto, South Africa in the Chiawelo Community Practice.
