I haven't played the TCG in a while and this caught my eye in my subscriptions feed. This is so similar to the old Dragapult VMAX which I played so much, so I'm looking to try this out and maybe get into playing again. Great vid!

@@Tundra0128yea its so annoying just trying to enjoy the game with a deck you made yourself and a charizard ex deck smashes your hopes of being a good deck builder. At some point i even tried tinkaton ex to combat it, which i didnt like to use but if it could at least fight the horde of charizards then it was viable
@@potatlerr This is why I always try fit in a strong attacking grass pokemon in my decks as a one off

Don't feel daunted by the comments regarding charizard. He's definitely the BDIF rn, but acc to some online tourney results dpult can hold its own. Plus the bench damage shits on zard if u get an early lead, or if you devolve charizard mid-game. I hope u enjoy trying dpult out!

Dragapult is so good! It was funny though, I went to a gym battle 2 days ago, and the person who won was playing Blissey ex/Munkidori. He took down Dragapult in the last game lol. Lots of interesting decks going around here.
I like the idea of using the Xatu engine, but also including a 2/2 Noivern EX line, and using Luminous Energy to hit the fire or dark for either of our EXs attacks. Noivern has the free retreat, we can use Prime Catcher and a full 4 boss's orders. Noivern is crazy in my local meta because it's a lot of chien-pao, future and ancient box.

Is there any chance the newer Sableye with the damage collection attack could be good with this card? 200 on active, 60 on bench becomes 260 on the active, even if they try to hide them both on the bench…

Yo Tricky G! What are your thoughts on Arceus/Giratina these days? I watched some videos from other folks and tried to get into it but I brick a ton and auto-lose to meta decks. If anyone could demonstrate how to properly use the deck it would be you I think.. So, any thoughts on Arctina?

dragapult ex is bust but i like that they chose a cool pokemon like dragapult (no offense to my main man charizard, but hes a little overused) love that they brought back air mail too! such a cool evo line, kind of like refinement kirlia into gardy, but better
i like the alakazam bc it replaces the need for damage mods to fix base damage math, freeing up more space for stuff

Hey! Im a big gardevoir deck fan and seeing that dragapult going to take the top again with xatu can i combine dragapult and gardevoir ex?
gardevoir cannot attach energy to dragapult.
I felt like I just got Espathra working and now the matchup vs dragapult doesnt seem as good :(

Two take aways from the results for me.
1. The zard list with dragapult is giving Ruby sapphire erra deck building(just missing 1-0-1 bird line)
2. It seems like quad hammers will be potent in the mirrors😂

My favourite build is the Charizard EX and Dragapult EX build. So crazy having both BDIF in the same deck.

This card is going to be amazing. Also why is there so little play with rabsca, it protects the bench so well and has a pretty decent attack to help against charizard and roaring moon.
stage 1, slower setup. if u play 1-1 either piece cud be prized play 2-2 it's a 4 card commitment. u want it for draga they'll see u bench the basic and snipe
Looks like Rhyperior ex will be the dominant deck of the Brilliant Stars through Scarlet & Violet 7 format, because this is twice that one of Leon's Pokémon has become a dominant stage 2 ex (that was a joke, Aegislash ex exists (and not much else)).
I'm curious how early people saw this coming, because this has taken me completely by surprise. I didn't think 200 damage was enough, but I forgot that Dragapult VMAX was fine in an era with comparatively few evolving basics to snipe, and topline HP has remained fixed since then.

Personally, I am surprised so many people were surprised at Dragapult's success. I saw it and immediately saw the 260 damage per turn with 60 being basically a better version of sable eye that can not be blocked with jerachi. So any evolving deck gets decimated.

@@ChrisbieCream I was just throwing out one of Leon's stage 2 Pokémon from the video games. A format-breaking Inteleon ex, Cinderace ex, Rillaboom ex, Haxorus ex or Seismitoad ex would also work, as those are all Pokémon he's used (Honestly, a Haxorus ex or Seismitoad ex would be fun as long as the Seismitoad ex didn't have Seismitoad EX's Quaking Punch attack).

Yes it does. However they Will play 1-2 temple of sinnoh and 1 enhanced hammer. Especially for lugia mu.
Im so excited for Dragspult EX. TBH I am very scared of the Dragapult and Charizard combo though…. Charizard EX has kinda made the TCG un-fun for me
You dont have to overkill. Hit snipe bench. Search boss with pidgeot. Bring the sniped. Snipe the previous 200 . 4 prizes to most basic exs Vs pokemon
Yes but radiant Alakazam makes it so you don’t have to boss. Also sometimes 200+60 won’t be a ko. So you’ll want to actually hit it with the 200 side twice. But adjusting 20 damage away means you’re only allocating 380 to the active and not 400. This kind of min maxing happens in poke all the time

Dragapult doing a Charizard and taking over the meta is familiar, yes, but unlike charizard, I actually enjoyed Dragapult Vmax and air mail pidgeotto, and will most likely enjoy playing Dragapult
