Went on a solo day hike up to a few High Uinta Stillwaters. I went back to a lake that I had previously lost a nice Tiger Trout, hoping to get some revenge. Also hit another nearby lake that is known for some good Cutthroat Trout. Caught em a few different ways, icluding dries, indo rigs, and streamers. Was a fun day for some hard fighting fish.

Nice work. It's always a great time in the Uintas!
Wonderful setting for fly fish adventure.
Gotta love the Uintas. Nice video!
It's not ugly there! Am I the only one that hates trying to pronounce Uintas?
Beautiful journey, with a tranquil lake and nice trout action!
As to indicator, I judge experience and how the fish are hitting. If smooth water, I will set on the most subtle movement (if I don't see harder hits -- indicator going underneath water). Other times, I mainly wait for the indicator to have any movement -- hard or soft -- unnatural to the float.
Awesome video 🙂
❤️👏 what’s that first lake?
Love this lake. I didn't know there were Tiger in it. I only saw Cutthroats. I had a similar experience the last time I went (when you went with your wife). I had a couple dry fly hits but couldn't set the hook also. :(
Are you at all worried about lightning strikes and fires in the area you are hiking/fishing at this time of the year? I flyfish Huntington creek frequently and couldn't help but notice the frequency of lightning strikes and fires in that area.
What is the name of that trail you're on?
I always pack my light sandals so I can take off my boots and socks and walk in the water with my sandals on. I set hook on everything and anything.
what trail was that?
Beautiful tigers. Does your wife fish too?
Sixth! 😋
