Hi Margarita! I love my LV vernis bag but I have to say that vernis in a light color is not the best idea!! Amarante is the best option for vernis in my opinion!!💖💖🙋🏻♀️

Hi Margarita, funny enough I have the same bag but in Epi leather and in Carmin true red colour which was my first ever LV bag as well bought in 2013. And I still love it so much even though I have the exact problems like you. I use it mostly handheld and zip it halfway. So the zipper falls inside the bag which doesn’t make much noise and bag wouldn’t go sideways when you use your shoulder strap. Hope that little tip will help you like the bag a bit more. Always enjoy your videos. Great joy to watch.

my Mum bought this bag in the early 2000's (Im 20 next month) it was one of the first bags I was exposed to and I hated it because she bought the burgundy. NOW I love it and beg her to wear it although she does not let me and thinks I will ruin it and I have so many of my own hahaha! I don't think you should sell it, it defo seems and feels vintage now and is very ''if you know you know'' - if you can take it to be cleaned it is defo worth it. I found your channel today and the fact that you are the only video I have ever seen on this bag is a sign I will love your channel for a long time! XOXO
I like the bag quite a lot. It's beautiful and versatile. Also can see the reasons of not using it. If it has a sentimental value for you Rita than keep it. Plus the value of the bag is increasing every year. You don't know but maybe someday your daughter will use it.

Yes she is beautiful and I strongly suggest you pop into LV for their suggestions. Based on my professional experience I would replace the zipper head with a quieter LV zipper head (possibly the leather puller).
When I was working in the luxury industry, the LV leather authorised repair was on the 2nd floor of the Strand Arcade. I just remember him as Elie, he treats all his Lady customers as daughters he’s a sweetheart. Elie may have some good solutions for you.
It would be a shame to sell such an iconic bag it’s a collectors item and it not only accommodates a lot, is lighter than your “Birkins” but it’s your first lux bag and Simon bought it. I would personally just replace the zipper head with an authentic LV pull tab.
PS. The handles can be replaced or you can put a twilly on them? LV may have better solutions for the handles.

Hi Jellybean, I have this bag in the Amarante (forest fruit deep purple red) no transfer or rattle, still perfect after 10years. Like you I love the shape and patent embossed leather, stylish and spacious, don’t wear it on the shoulder so haven’t experienced the ‘slanting’ you described, so I’d recommend a preloved model. Not sure I could get my granny it though?.. xxx

Keep your bag. It is sophisticated and versatile. I agree with you about the zipper closure, carrying on the shoulder, and color transfer. The beautiful gold charm hitting against the side is very subtle. I have the GM size which is larger and can be annoyingly heavy to carry. The issues you mentioned does bother me somewhat. I still love this bag!

Not the grandmother! LOL! It's a beautiful bag, but your concerns are absolutely valid. The zipper issue would drive me nuts, and you can't even be sneaky when carrying this bag - it announces your arrival! LOL! But again, it really is a beautiful one. :)

Haha, I know what you men about the noise. I have Brea MM electric epic noir and at first I was slightly disturbed, but (I maybe strange) I have grown to like it! Yes I also agree about having to use two hands to zip it up. I haven't had colour transfer (phew!). I love mine. I hope you haven't sold yours although your video was a year ago now ... I think you'll fall in love again one day 💕

Your comments made me laugh at times. I know it's not funny that you can't use it, but it was so true everything you said. You should try to sell it as you won't really wear it. As Marie Kondo said, "If it doesn't bring you joy, get rid of it". Someone else will probably enjoy it and you can put the money towards something you really want.

I think she is pretty, classic, noise, has personallity, i have mine in rouge fauviste. I think she is very special, different from theothers LV bags i actually dont like. They are not producing her anymore, so its a vintage and unique piece.

I like things that clank but that noise. XD There are so many things wrong with this bag it's insane. On the bright side, I guess if it's that hard to do up, it's that hard to undo as well, so it's hard to steal stuff from it?
Always liked the Vernis. How sad that the handles stained it. Worst thing with LV is that every time there is a production error and you want it rectified, they send it to Paris and you have to pay for it.

I say use your time to exercise, work on a hobby, advance your career, further your education, garden, visit friends, learn a new language....goodness, there is so much to do that I have a hard time fitting in a relationship.

I say keep her. Hubby bought her for u. Change the zipper pull, keep her open, don't use the shoulder strap and twilly the handles so it doesn't get worse. If u hate, hate, hate the color transfer have a handbag artist paint that area, possibly with a 3d drop handle chain effect, or Monogram, use ur imagination 😘

You can't sell a sentimental gift like that - not one from your hubby. Even though, to be brutally honest, it's kind of "granny". It may have to live in the back corner of your closet. I never "got" that design - it seemed so schizophrenic. The vachetta handle leather didn't really to go with the body of the bag and seemed too casual for the beautiful vernis monogram leather. A matching handle/strap would have made all the difference. And let's not mention the clack/clack/clack. Would drive me bonkers.

I honestly dislike the bag a lot. It seems very early 2000’s in style. The only person I can ever see using this bag is much older than you and from another continent - we’d presume the bag a knock-off.
