I have this Bissell machine, (see my comment below for my review.) But I have to say that one thing that really blows my mind is that of ALL the videos, comments and reviews I have seen online for this machine, and NONE of them stress just how much REGULAR maintenance these machines need in order to perform at their best. This is why Bissell PURPOSELY designs these machines to be taken apart, because they KNOW it must be done. ESPECIALLY with a high pile carpet, these machines are very prone to collecting debris and carpet fibers in the corners of the roller brushes which can be a bit of a pain to get out. This same debris also tends to clog the suction path AND clog up and block the water jets. They also leave chunks and traces of pet hair and carpet fiber behind on the carpet as your cleaning. And if you're cleaning a very dirty rug in a very large area, be prepared to fill and empty the tanks about 150 times!! REALLY, I'm not kidding!! Excellent performing machine, but very high maintenance.
I have that exact Bissell machine. Had it since January of 2013 and we're almost in 2019. It has taken a BEATING and it has held up pretty good. It has been dependable and never failed me. Only the last couple of days I've been using it and I've noticed it's performance deteriorating and I can hear the motor "revving down," so I think it's safe to say that my Bissell pro heat Lift-Off has seen better days. But make no mistake, it has been worth every penny!
I have one of these. Does a pretty good job as an upright cleaner. Only thing that I hate about it is it leaves clumps of dog hair on the rug and dog hair gets stuck on the head underneath. Of course I was using a Hoover Windtunnel that didn't work for crap and I found that out after I bought a Dyson DC65. Hopefully now I won't have issues with clumps of dog hair the next time I use it. It is a pain to clean the head though. They sure don't make it easy.
have you yousd a royal vacuum or carpet cleaner i have seen all your vids like the kirby and the hoover t seres and your bissell lift off and your shark and more i am a bid fan i have seen more than 100 vacuum vids but most from you thank you fore taking time for you time and i have trid zap
i have this same machine. it says on the unit itself "heated cleaning" with a light that lights up....but i dont feel this machine is a heated machine....what do you think?
I've had mine for about 3 years now & it won't spray anymore. I can't get any help from Bissell. They just told me to buy another one. I don't want to have to purchase one every few years. I LOVE this machine & I hate to give up on it, but I'm seriously considering going back to Hoover 😕 (this seems to be a common problem)
Thanks much for the video. I just bought this machine, and I can't figure out if the brush underneath should be running when I turn the machine on. Mine doesn't; it only runs when I push the machine around. Could someone confirm that is the way it works?
love this thing! got out spilt wine, went over it immediately of course. love love this beast! it's so not a pain to take it out n put it baaack. taaaake it out....etc. it's a pleasure to use this monster mmhmm

you'd be surprised how well going over the stain in a perpendicular direction will work with the upright mode
Lol, I love his voice. So perfect for how-to videos
I had mines for years forgot how to use it🤣 thanks for posting
Great technique idea on the spot lift.
easy to use and so convenient
HEHE I usually put the water first so it do't foam as much, then I give the tanks a little shake
so what is you favorite carpet cleaner, and do you have a review on kirbys
Idk. We started with a stain and ended with a stain lol

Does this machine leave carpet pretty wet?I was hoping to find one that took almost all the water up.
How do you clean the filters?
