I like a 5 gallon bucket and a roller screen to roll out of. Much easier to move around. We buy 9 inch rollers cut them to 4 when needed. Two 4 out if a nine inch . At least 1/2 nap concrete to 3/4 nap on asphalt, holds plenty of paint. 1 inch nap kinda over kill and starts to get messy. The finance on a 3400 is usually done on just a few months, 6 if I remember correctly so pretty high monthly payment.
Paint .. we’ve financed machines at SW on a “job 1” account without losing the ability to charge paint on the main account… for us 1 had nothing to do with the other .. only saying that this was my experience.. and they have our price in the system for the paint to be the same price even if I pay cash

Good afternoon, Is it possible to be successful only doing striping, or are most local businesses looking to get fresh seal coating and striping done in one shot? I’d love to get into striping, but I don’t get excited about the asphalt/seal coating side of things.
Using a paint roller is much more difficult than a spray-type striping machine, especially when the pavement is in less than pristine condition. I have restriped a parkinglot that had loose stones in the surface of the asphalt, and the stones would stick to the wet paint roller and go around with the roller, making it very rough and difficult to paint a straight line and to get the paint evenly applied. I had to frequently clean the roller, without getting paint where it didn’t belong. I would never recommend a roller in place of a high-pressure striping machine, except as a stop-gap measure to be replaced by a machine as soon as possible.

You can do parking lot striping as a stand-alone business, definitely.
I see a lot of parking lots that never get sealcoated but are restriped as needed. There’s definitely use for a striping-only business.
Set up a roller with a paint pump on wheels.
Similar to what is used inside homes.
Much simpler and cheaper than the tractors.

Personal. You won’t have any business credit established if it’s a new entity so you’ll more than likely have to guarantee it.
