Half way through and already amazed at this experiment. This is crazy.. I got a case of booster boxes coming and I want to try this!! Omg..
Okay, so I just finished the rest, and as it was what I had assumed as well. So would this not work for English booster boxes, because of the code cards? Do the black/white code cards weigh different? I’d be curious to see this experiment on English booster boxes.. I have a case coming.. theoretically, I could open say 10 boxes of 36 packs, probably open the 10-12 heaviest packs in the box for the hits, and sell off the remaining dead packs, no? That is broken. But I guess you’d have to bust open every box and weigh every pack, can’t just weigh the sealed box..
@@BachZennett The english booster box especially Obsidian Flame has almost the same outcome for the packs. In theory, the english box still can be weighed and they use different types of pack material to create the weight variant. But I would caution from ethics point of view, we should not sell off the remaining dead packs. Even if we do, we should inform the buyers these are filtered packs.
The purpose of the video is to bring awareness so that collectors are aware packs and boxes can be weighed.

@@BachZennett lol, thats the funny thing. they used to use different colored code cards to indicate a hit or not, so why couldnt they just varry the thickness on all non hitter code cards, and thin code cards in the hitters, so weighing isnt an option. the fact that japanese packs dont even bother with code cards for weight seems a bit imbalanced, but if the plan is to keep most of the hitters for their locals, than i guess its workings as intended

I’m nervous to buy these at a card shop they seem so light never opened a jp pack before is that just how they feel loose?
Are you referring to buying from a Japanese card shop ? Or local game store selling the Japanese cards and sealed products ?
@@ronopia Local card store selling Japanese booster box, they had some booster packs to buy as well touched them and looked at the seal of the pack the booster packs felt as if there where cards missing compared to the English booster packs where it’s tighter and lest movement.

Of the black flame loose packs are so cheap in Japan ($1.5 CAD per).
Had some friends bring some back, didn’t seem to get hits. Feel like we got scammed
