Good Evening Steven, I think it's good that you're considerate of your neighbors because of the engine noise at bedtime. Residents of towns along biker routes are becoming more and more annoyed about noise, setting up citizens' initiatives and calling for driving bans on Sundays and public holidays. It must never come to that. With an electric motorcycle you can forget about all the 'vibrations' 🥴. Enjoy yr. weekend Winfried

Good morning Winfried, yes I think of the neighbours since I leave the house at 2am, I wouldn’t like to be woken up either. But during the day, with the little mopeds and bloody tractors you can’t hear the tv.
Weekend is work Winfried unfortunately but thanks anyway, also to you enjoy your Sunday.

Here in Malta they do after market exhaust like Vance and Hines on the guzzi. The sound is amazing!!!!
Even straight pipe jobs. I'll find some pics.
The V twin with an exhaust was the first thing that attracted me to the guzzi.
U just have to do it
Make sure it doesn't go over the sound limit. Check with manufacturer.
Oh and cars pull over and notice u so so much more. Whatever they say.
I always have a fruity exhaust on mine
    Even the Crf 300.
And the Africa twin sounds like a spitfire

Morning Dave, my main problem is starting the bike at 2am and trying not to wake everyone up in 5 miles radius 😂 otherwise the louder the better

@@triumphtridenttravels8960 ah just wheel it down the road a bit. Oh check out Jekyll n Hyde exhausts, they have a switch on the handle bars that opens a gate loud /quite. Don't think they have a guzzi one though.
Other alternative would be by any after market exhaust and pull out the baffles down the road. (leave them unscrewed).I wonder if your baffles come off with your original exhaust. Old ones did. I'd love playing around with exhaust on that bike. Sounds amazing without baffles

Always changed the exhausts from standard always make a difference and sound great
I have had a mistral on my old tiger and it sounded great nice deep throaty notes
Is there many areas near where you are that have camp sites as over your neck of the woods this coming week

Good morning Trevor, camp sites I am not sure about that mate, I guess your best bet is google. If this weather continues then I suggest bringing a boat, the bloody rain, every day!

A stock SV650 would dyno at around 70 HP so they are not short on power, so it is likely the bike has been dialled back to A2 levels. That's what I would do if I was lending the bike to the public to limit liability.

Good morning David, thanks for explaining, I think you are right because the bike had power a low speeds but nothing much else, but I did like riding it, as I said the bigger version I think would be great.
      Enjoy your Sunday

Three years ago here in 🇺🇸 I've purchased Mistrals for my V7. They had to be shipped from Italy, and the cost was around 400 bucks a piece. I specified that the baffles be included but not installed (just in case I decide later on to install them for noise compliance regulations-as they are currently, without baffles the noise level is around 85 decibels measured from 25 feet.)
Are they worth it? They are better looking than stock, lighter and have a throatier sound which could be a life saver taking into consideration that, at least here in the states, the vast majority of the morons drivers are paying more attention to their phones than actual driving. As far as performance, it most likely bumps the hp a bit but not by much and personally I feel the bike is more responsive.
But again, don't forget this comes with an $800 price tag.
    Safe riding ✌️

Morning Joe, yes I’ve seen those exhaust pipes, they are around the same price here, but maybe one day. My next purchase will be a set of tyres.
I wish you a great weekend mate

May I suggest Continental Road Attack II? I believe them to be the best and reasonably priced. But that was in '21, so now it's possible they came with a newer version i.e. Road Attack III? Check them out. Previously I had Pirelli bias, no match for the Conti radials. @@triumphtridenttravels8960
