Fantastix review Ollie (as usual). For me, The Talons Of Weng-Chiang is a great story with many great characters, set pieces and events. True, it is a bit long but even at 6 parts it's still really enjoyable and likeable. I adore Jago and Litefoot, they are great characters (P.S the actor playing Jago is indeed the actor who appears in "The Unicorn And The Wasp" as The Colonel (fun fact he also had a small role as another character in "Inferno", and Jago and Litefoot get their own spin-off audio series over at Big Finish and occasionally meet other Doctors in some Big Finish audios (mainly The Sixth Doctor), so we get more of them (WOO-HOO!)). Magnus Greel is also a great villain as is Sin and whilst the yelow-face of Chin is controversial now, it was how they did things back int he 70s (you'd think they'd learnt by 77 to not do this) but the character is still great. Overall I though this story was brilliant. 10/10. It does sadly miss out on being in my Top 20 Classic Series stories though (but only just, it would be 21st) but never the less this is still a brilliant story.

As for my Season 14 ranking...well it's pretty much the same as yours apart from that I would swap "The Robots Of Death" and "The Talons Of Weng-Chiang" around. So, basically... Season 14 (1976-77) ranking (scores included):
      6. The Masque Of Mandragora- 7/10
      5. The Face Of Evil- 7/10
      4. The Hand Of Fear- 8/10
      3. The Robots Of Death- 8/10
      2. The Talons of Weng-Chaing- 10/10
      1. The Deadly Assassin- 10/10 (Jack WILL be very, Very, VERY happy about our number one choices and our scores for it)

@@NicholasPayne01 Great ranking similar to mine except we swap Robots of Death and Talons of Weng-Chiang. :D See you for The Horror of Fang Rock (aka start of Season 15 aka start of Tom Baker's Fourth Season). :D

I really enjoyed this story. Tom Baker is great as the Doctor. Leela is great here. The villains are fantastic. Magnus Greel is a great villain and I like the fact that he has a disfigured face. Chang is also a very good threatening villain however they should have got a Chinese person to play him. Sin is also a great henchmen, he reminds me of Nick Nack from James Bond. I love the Victorian London setting and Tom Bakers detective outfit is great. The sets and costumes are great here. Jago and Litefoot are also great characters. Overall a really good story and a great way to end this season.
