To the people who were saying that "Why development happen in gujarat only?" First of all the idea of gift city was propose by state government before the BJP was power in Central government. And also the state government will execute the Gujarat Model without the help of central government in starting.
And the people who say that it will make from indian taxpayer is not right, because as per the reports the Gujarat will be the Top Rank state in terms of tax collections. Hope every individual of this country will understand this.
Another reason is that there is more government stability in that state compared to other states.
Gujarat don't hate businessmans. They deserve such projects even if it is funded by center.

The northeastern development, Kashmir infra, metro projects in 20 cities (from different states) and total 1000 kms of metro under construction, before 2014 there was just 200kms of metro network and in just 9 years 600 kms have been completed...
Expressways , highways etc have been doubled then the whole 60 years of congress ... In 60 years 70 airports and in 9 years new additional 70 airports ... Less then 10 AIIMS in 60+ years and 15 AIIMS in 9 just years ... All of this is in whole India and not just in Gujarat....
And gift city and Dholera were planned when he was CM of Gujarat... And now that he became PM, he will make sure that the project gets completed... That's it... Don't be so misguided by it...

Smart city projects take atleast 20-25 years to eventually yield results. Have patience and believe in the potential of India.
Basic utilities like underground wiring, sewage treatment plants, etc. are being developed. It takes time, many cities in china took 30 - 40 years to develope.

Being a dry state, GIFT city will find it difficult to get finance professionals especially international professionals to settle here. Gujarat will have to allow liquor in GIFT city as an exception. This may seem like an irrelevant detail but standard of living is critical for global professionals.

Even though GIFT City offers advantages unparalleled in the country, it has failed to attract businesses and investments.
Also growth is very slow. It cant replace even Ahmedabad in GDP or PPP in coming 20/30 years. Long way to go. Most of the projects in GIFT are incomplete or ongoing from 2007.
Bengaluru is falling if they give free land cheap electricity intensives tax infrastructure may jump to gift city Gujarat. 😅
