I will give a simple explanation -
1. Singapore - 728km2, $397bn
2. Hongkong - 1114km2, $369bn
3. Dubai - 1610 km2, $177bn
4. New York - 1223 km2, $886bn
5. London - 1572km2, $500 bn
Here, Dholera is 920 km2, which means it alone will contribute anywhere around $200 - $500bn to the India GDP. If a too big country like India have 10 such SIRs in all of its coastal region states along Guj, Maha, Karna, Kerala, TN, Andhra, Odisha, WB..... Imagine India would have readymade GDP of $2 - $4 trillion in her pocket just from 10-12 SIRs.....

We have to develop Odisha and WB. Because coastal states always have an advantage over land-locked states, but Odisha and WB are as poor as land-locked states, they are under-performing because of bad governance and some other reasons unique to the state. I think the Indian govt should invest more in these two states.

After Travelling to 3 countries now, when i came back to India, i saw there is no standard which is followed in India, the roads are not wide enough, when the plotting is done, contractors dont need permission for how wide the roads have to be and the focus less on that. However, according to Indian Road Congress the road width should be 7 metres for a street road. I never saw anyone follow this. I think the problem is in the system

Dholera's strength is trade with the Gulf. Gulf will be developing even more quickly in the future and Dholera through Piplav Port will be the main trade outlet for that. Gujarat is the fastest to Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Doha...by sea. They have planned this very carefully with foresight. New cities must have this type of planning.
