    Very nice quick but extreme useful video. I would love one on the Kelly Industries solder board you sell in your shop. There is no documentation anywhere (including the Kelly Industries website) and definitely no youtube videos at least that I can find on how to properly install these.

    Great video Luke,
    I'll be fitting my first LiPo voltmeter/alarm on my Rayven once my package arrives from you, (I know it takes a while to ship to the UK) as i've been using a pocket voltmeter/alarm on a lanyard until now.
    I'm really looking forward to getting the OFP Rayven cage (as I melted the stock one!) the Rayven switch plate and the K26 for my Kronos, it's great that you sell the K26 cut to size and rounded off, for those of us who don't have the proper tools (yet).
    I'm planning on ordering a few of motors from you, I did write it down somewhere, yes, 7 Rhinos, 18 Neo-Rhinos and 6 Honeybadgers to go in my Rapidstrikes, Hyperfires, Modulus ECS-10, Regulator, Rayvens and Mega Mastodon (with some home-made PVC Shims). I can see the Regulator being a problem as I already fried one of them, but Chris from Project Nerf said he'd help me with a step down transformer (buck?) for the Regulator so I don't fry another!
    Luckily I found a LiPo that will fit all of them and have enough power, I'm thinking a few 2200mAh 3S Zippy Compacts, 60c Constant - 70c Burst, should fit in all of them (I did check the battery compartment sizes) and have enough Amperage for the motors, is that right?
    Do you have any switch suggestions or preferences?
    They should give me some serious smiles, opposed to C or D cells and stock motors :)
    Your Etsy shop is great, you have everything I need (minus the Lipo's) which I have to get from Hobbyking because of living in the UK and the shipping issues associated.

    What do you think of the concept of replacement rival motors in 360 size? I mean, for most purposes the standard motors are fine, but with the proton pack it takes more torque, and that would allow you to not do any shell cutting.

    Why do these need alarms, won’t the blaster stop when the battery is dead?

    • @outofdarts
      @outofdarts  Před rokem +1

      When LiPo batteries reach below a certain voltage, they change chemically, making them harder to recharge and lowering the lifespan of that battery. LiPo alarms let you know when to stop using that battery before that happens, so your batteries last longer.

    I got 2 things.
    1. How to calculate total use time for a 3s 1 amp/hour 25 c Lipo powering 2 rhinos
    2. If the total volts for a 3s is 11.1, that would only give me 4 volts of wiggle room before I have to recharge at 7.1 volts? I don't want any of the cells to drop below 3.2, so 7.1 just doesn't seem like a lot. Or can I push it all the way to 3.2 total volts in the entire battery?

    • @Superkai66
      @Superkai66 Před 2 lety

      I’m confused about this too. I have a 2s with a cap of 7.6, and my alarm screamed at me when each cell was below three, but total it was above 4. I have the one with screen and when it displayed total it didn’t scream, but when it showed each individual cell it screamed. Wouldn’t make sense to only be able to use with a 1.6 volt difference

      The 3s lipo max charge goes to 12.6v. Operation range for each cell is 4.2v to 3v. That would mean you can use it from 12.6v to 9v however for safety and life of the 3s lipo, you would stop using it when it gets to 10v or per cell 3.3v to have a buffer so it doesn't go below 3v per cell.
