Ugh, I just want to say how happy I am that I've found your channel! I suffered a little bit of a blow to my finances after a bout of unemployment plus some emergencies that I needed to swipe my credit card for a few too many times. Now I'm trying to save for a wedding and a big out-of-state move, while paying off my credit card debt! I watched so many budgeting videos to try to learn a way to budget and nothing stuck until I watched your videos! Now I have a budget and my finances under control. I literally went from freaking out about finances to feeling so confident and positive. Thank you so much!
Two part question:
1) I noticed you don’t ever include cents when budgeting, even for bills that you transfer. What do you do with the extra change?
2) What do you do with the extra change from your cash envelopes?
This has really motivated to revamp our budget!! ❤️

How do you pay your car insurance by cash? Mine is USAA and all online
anointedcountrygirl I’m on my parents insurance so I hand them cash monthly. When I get my own it will move into the “transfer” category since it will be coming out on autopay

Does TJ do cash envelopes as well?
jonasforlifexo he does not! I’m sure once we combine finances after the wedding I’ll try and set him up with a version of the cash envelope system, but he’s WAY different than me. To him, cash feels like “free money” since it’s not in his account yet. We’ll figure out something that works for both of us! Luckily he is very responsible with his money even without cash envelopes and we have the same financial goals.
Would you ever consider doing a video on the money you’ve made on CZcams? I’m super nosy and love those videos 😅
Are you still doing school? I don’t know if you addressed this in another video. You were on a roll! Also I thought TJ was majoring in business but you posted him in uniform? Don’t mean to be nosy but I’m genuinely curious:)
Emily Griffindor haha no worries, I don’t feel like it’s nosy! TJ graduated with a business degree but has always wanted to be a police officer. He applied for a few business jobs and his heart just really wasn’t in it, so he decided to follow his passion and pursue law enforcement! The police academy is 6 months long and extremely rigorous, and he will need my help a LOT. Due to this, I decided to take a break from school and I will get back into it when I can devote my full attention to it. TJ’s sister is helping her boyfriend through the academy right now and it really does take a village for 6 months. But it will be worth it!
