    Thank you for the excellent video, as always. If I can manage to get the (original) exhaust off by heating up the nuts with a small MAPP gas torch, the rest should be easy enough to handle! Just wish I had a garage and not the great outdoors to do this job ;-)

    If I cut the old studs off, is it necessary to use exhaust studs or can I simply use the bolts and nuts that came with my new flex pipe?

    How much would it cost to do a complete exaust replacement - including the header? Loved the video!

    This would be so much easier if I owned a car lift!

    • @mikeblaz
      @mikeblaz Před 3 lety +2

      Exactly. Not having a lift is 90% of the problem. The rest is just unscrewing bolts. Doing this w/just car ramps/jacks is a bitch...

    So it does have a gasket where the pipe bolts to the manifold I didn’t see one??

    5:39 so the flex pipe is the whole thing you're taking out?
    I thought it was just the braided-looking part.
    That thing is rattling in my car, so I have to replace the whole thing?

    Wipe some Ronsonol lighter fluid on the label, then use a heat gun and it will peel right off. Also, there’s a tool for removing those exhaust hangers.

    It would be a better help if you specify the 2.5 liter or the 3.5.

    • @chadbrantley839
      @chadbrantley839 Před 3 lety +1

      I believe there are 3 14mm nuts. Just drill out the old bolt if it broke. You won't even need the threads. You can put a grade 8 3/8 in bolt with a nut on the back side if you drill it out. I had to do the same.
