  • This is a test of the proskit SS 331 station and a demonstration of how easy it is to use. First day trying it and it is already giving big results! Much better than a soldering iron.
But for the second Asus motherboard that we see in the background, it is probably a multi layer. So I had to use the station to the maximum of its power in addition to using hot air.
    Motherboard successfully repaired
*The hole at the end of the gun is a bit too small so either you get smaller tip or you put much solder.

For those who don't know, it's good to have some liquid rosin flux around.
When using the braid, first dip it into the flux.
It will then suck up the solder quickly and fully. Unlike using it dry where it often just doesn't work well.

Using additional flux does quickly clogg your filters though and in the end also the airpump, which is not made very service friendly.

I don't think 90 watts is enough for large ground planes. If you heat the area with the air gun and use the pump at the same time you should get better results.

I think using the smallest size tip will work better. 1 mm is the best for normal parts.

Wasn't delivered with the kit. So that is what I am using. But I agree on that, would be much easyer..

@@Brisou394Hi, I have many throughole desolderings, I use all the posible methods.
I have one Hakko 808, one Hakko FR-301, ZR915 and now I am testing the Yihua 948.
My primary tool is the Hakko 808, all my desolderings clogged often with 1mm nozzle.
      I use 1,5mm or 2mm.
Desoldering is not a magical tool, I use low melting solder especially in multilayer boards.
I fix High End audio amplifiers and motor controllers throughole desoldering is a every day use tool for me.
      Best Regards.

@@Brisou394 Wait. Are you saying that you didn't receive 3 different sized tips?

hello i bought today i wanted to ask how does automatic sleep work, thank you

I dont remember too well the sleep function. Unfortunately I can't test it for a few months, according to the manual there is a simple "Sleep control sensor". Agitating the gun might take it out of sleep. What I can tell you about the gun is that sometimes the sucking function get clogged in the barrel. So the gun might better be used at high temperature to prevent the solder to solidify itsel in the gun. And it also needs a bit of cleening time to time.. But I was so glad to have it to desolder all the keys of my keyboard. It was super long and I can not imagine how you would to without it. It's not up to professional equipment and some hard jobs don't melt (so you need to add heat with hot air for example). That is a nice to have for sure!!

You have a braun right? so why you dont use the right tip for the right job????
your tipsize is to big. point.

Welp, I think I didn't had any smaller in that kit. But if you buy me smaller tip maybe. Also Someone said 1mm nozzle clogged so easily.

      @BlondieSL Před 2 lety +1

@@Brisou394 The 1mm nozzle can clog if the temperature is too low and/or the person stops the suction too quickly.
Heat and suction keeps the tips cleaner.
