It's a pleasure watching professionals at work.
Hi Shawn. Quite a while since last tech Tuesday's. Hope you're not quitting. You don't seem the kind of guy that just quits. I know with your new responsibility's you have less time. Happy landings.
Thanks for the sightseeing trip to Key West. I retired from the Navy down there in 1994. Nice to see what's changed.
Great video as always, happy new year.
The two of you have good synergy. Looks like a great day for the SIC to get some PIC experience.
Just another day in the "office." Thanks for all of the great trips you guys shared this year!
Beautiful flight Shaun, thanks for taking us along!
Just want to say thank you for all your trips and travelogue! It is really appreciated and very enjoyed. Wishing you fair days, strong tailwinds and health in this upcoming New Year!

Great flight Sean! Enjoying your videos from Vero Beach. Safe travels and good health to you in the New Year.
Always nice to ride along with you. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Happy New Year. Thanks for letting us travel with you. Great landing too.
Long time a fan of your channel on this platform for many reasons! Wishing you and your family, co pilots, the very best for 2021 -
Sunsets at Mallory Square are the best!
Happy New Year!
Great job welcome back
You guys really work well together!
So much going on but you two make it seem effortless. Great viewing. Best wishes for the future. 👊
I love Key West. Beautiful approach.
Great scenery and excellent landing. Really enjoyed multiple land features with aqua marine surrounding. Missing the beach but enjoying skiing.
Thanks for an interesting year and best wishes to all in 21🥂.
Great video...as always. Have a safe & happy New Year. 🛩
hey shawn missing your tech tues and video only thing that keeps me happy during covid .thanks for the upload cheers
Another vid confirming my error in choice of professions. Stunning views throughout....
It must be quite a bit of work editing out the tn. It is very well done, and you would never realize it if you were new to the channel.
Thanks for all the work to put up the vids. Hope you had a good Christmas and Happoo y New Year!
Great fight to Key West. I flew into Key West Apr 1973 for Navy SONAR electronics school. Still looks the same from the air.
Forgot to mention I flew in on a de Havilland DH114 Heron.
That guy seemed like a great copilot. Squared away, followed your lead on conversations, and complimented at the appropriate times.
Thank you for the videos ..happy new year..🐊🐙👍
Great video thanx for sharing
Great landing
I loved Flying in and out of Key West! I got my pilots license and sea plane rating while I was stationed at NAS Key West. Worked Key West Approach for 4+ years.
fantastic video..
Shawn, you've switched back to the full ear DC headset? Interesting!
Happy New year guys ...
Shawn this would been a great time for you SIC to get PIC time amd get closer to that Four bar on his shoulders!!!!
...time to recruit some of those lady pilots from Iceland Air!
Fly me to Key West anyday guys!! Awesome videos! Really enjoy them.. My fiance flys a Gulfstream 450
Sweet. Happy New Year. Here’s hoping for a much improved 2021 and don’t feed the roosters!
Hello, it's to bad that I don't know when you are flying into KW. We live right by the airport and flights go right over our house. My wife flys in and out of KW for business. I greet her home and wish her off by waving near the runway. I would enjoy waving you guys in with the pool noodles, yes I said pool noodles!! Safe flight!!
As always great quality video! Missing the G4 vids though...
freedombw what happened to him flying the gulf streams ?
@@all_golde think he still does just not for the old company. He got a position upgrade at this company.
Great video always, have a happy new year, from the imperial co California.
Positioning flight?
Enjoy the videos. Happy New Year. Do they have their control tower back yet?
Shawn nice video and sweet landing in the Keys. What head gear do you use fir communications
Shaun,
That was a nice easy flight, no aborting through the mountains with no visibility, eh? Well, the sun was bothersome,
Don't those Hawkers have sun shields?.
Happy and healthy New Year to you and your family and co-pilots.
See you next year:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Hi Shawn. What happened to your tech tuesdays? We miss them. And your ''garage'' project? We(I at least) still waiting. Happy landings
I miss the nutcracker!
Nice flight gentlemen but one question. Why didn't you use the window shades/visors when having that Sun in your eyes?
Great video as always. Flying at 18,000 ft, do you use standard barometric pressure or local pressure? Always wondered. Thanks!
10:08.....did the tower say “splash two”....?
Did you get to see the "Weather" Balloons at the Navy Base?
Shaun what was the FMS doing when you decided to remove Palm Beach from the list?
How did the copilot manage to turn a pair of Bose QC35 ii's into an headset?! That's kinda sick!
You need more dashboard cameras
You guys need Go -Pros on both sides of the cockpit and in front .
Sean we need different camera angles
looks like you have some mold on the overhead
Is the balloon warning still up near Key West?
Jets work better at higher altitudes, but how to you pick a cruising altitude on shorter flights (winds aloft aside)... thx... stay safe.
Are most charters round trip or just one way? What do you do if it is one way?
Shaun i gotta say small jet shadows look like a beluga whale taking flight lol. Seriously when are they going to get a cockpit panel where you just tell it where you wanna go, and the FMS and FAA talk to each other and the plane computer and the air traffic control computer just talk to each other and away you go!?
Why is the call sign just Hawker?
Are we there yet? 😖😅
A man of few words in the right seat or just not a fan of early starts?
Do you do your own flight planning? If lnternational how do you find out Jet A1 prices and landing fees etc out before? Do you have an Ipad and if so what apps are you using?
What speed are you at when you are landing and what kind of jet in this video?
Former Navy Key West here, why did ZMA work you all the way in?
Yes it is the best way to get to Key West until you have to pay all of Signatures FBO fees. My 182 is tri-colored lets tag on $300 more dollars to your stay.....oh and its white......thats an additional $100 bucks. Tricycle gear add another $50 for that...........Love going in my 182 but damn the fees they charge. Someone needs to put in another Mom and Pop FBO for GA planes to compete with them.
What ever happened to the nutcracker?
How difficult is it to fly and land the plane alone should your co-pilot become incapacitated?
Bacardi and cola.
What do you have typerating in?
After you advance the thrust levers for take off, you hit the "APR" button. What is APR and what does it do?
The APR button puts the autopilot into ‘approach’ mode. I suspect as soon as they took off they were flying an approach procedure in to Key West. Longer flights the autopilot is in ‘NAV’ mode for most of the route and approach mode is selected near the end of the flight at the beginning of the approach. There’s a few other modes as well.
Shaun -- In your years of charter piloting, can you tell your viewers as to who some of the Rich-and-Famous (names we would recognize) you have piloted? Just curious.
Philip, to protect client privacy, confidentially and respect, I do not think or expect any “famous” clients names will be or should be given.
@@faapilot agree 100% Never happen (nor should it).
@@faapilot You're correct....I was just curious....that's all.
Does the 250kt speed restriction below 10,000ft apply even when you are over the open ocean?
Great question. Curious.
Yes it still applies
I walked. This seems a little weak.
Great video but way too much advertisements for me sorry! Happy blue skies guys.
I purchased ad blocker..best investment ever NO ADS AT ALL!!
@@russell1882 good to know! I got like 8 ads in this video in total
good deal........
Is it blog or vlog or am I stupid
👋🏻KSRQ ☀️🌴🇺🇸🛩
Too many ads. :(
Jumpers or Meat Bombs?
Not to be insulting, but why are all good pilots bald or balding? One of my best friends flew F-4s in vietnam and he was bald at the age of 28..Just wondering.
R NAV ? Explain
Wikipedia’s R-NAV entry says: Area navigation is a method of instrument flight rules navigation that allows an aircraft to choose any course within a network of navigation beacons, rather than navigate directly to and from the beacons. This can conserve flight distance, reduce congestion, and allow flights into airports without beacons.
RNAV is a gps instrument approach used to guide an aircraft down to the runway
what is this....a 20 min flight
the 1st O is a little too perky for my taste...chill, dude...
sorry but it was boring
Good Job stickin her on the ground with that displaced threshold.
I may not always watch them when they come out, but I always find some them to watch your vids Shawn, excellent work man!
