These are the types of items that most scrappers have dreams about coming in possession of, and you are showing what process it will take when recovering the greatest value within the units. Great job 👌
What have l been missing! For those of who find this interesting. Let's make sure that we help get this channel out there. This guy is the real deal for anyone into the heavy scrap game 🎯
I'm always super jealous when I watch your vids. Between all the money in equipment, to the time you spend on it. Scrapping is a hobby. I'd love to take it to your level some day
📌The best wheel that we use is a 7in diamond blade it's for cutting tile but it cuts copper and paper really well. Sometimes we put it on a circular saw sometimes we put it on a grinder. Less kickbacks less dust and it won't cut you or burn you before it cut you
Is this a slab on the side of your house where you used to do all Your scrapping? What a sweet upgrade the shop was for you and I’m sure your neighbors 😆. Thanks for the videos brother def given me a different outlook on scrappers. Used to live in California (what a shithole my home state has become :/ ) and there it seem if your a scrapper ypur a thief not really to be trusted . you seem like a solid ass hard working business man.
Those steel covers are good for some pretty sturdy rolling tables if they are heavy enough gauge. Little plinky wooden tables probably won't do you much good. Lol!
Nothing worse than accidentally deleting vids trying to get space.... I've done it many times lol. Cant wait till the day I get my hands on transformers like these tho! I really like your vids man... keep it up
Just a thought if your carbide blades that you used with the 7" angle grinder was expensive it would be cheaper to send it off to have the missing tips retired rather than to toss it out . It all depends if it was an expensive one or a cheap one. Good luck with your next project !
Have ever considered a plasma cutter their way cheaper than you think so you would make your money back in no time I bit the bullet and invested and it’s literally the best thing I bought except for the rest of my tools 🤣😂👍🏻
When you delete something on a hard drive or SD card, it's still there & can be recovered. I recovered a pic on my Mom's computer by using a recovery program. The file name was gone, but I could search for file type & size, & I restored it. Eventually, if you do no recovery, your deleted files will be overwritten.
Have you ever thought about melting your own copper down in the bars and trying to sell them I’ve been thinking about it I see people are asking 60 or $70 for a bar of copper what do you think
I have a few, but the one I talked about on the live stream I have yet to post content. czcams.com/channels/3pmqcKeU94YGRFBO4tz8EQ.html?app=desktop czcams.com/channels/_AFDyUUoNg-pwr7LJ3jWVQ.html If you are not in to cars I would not watch this one. lol czcams.com/channels/p8V1Zjea4KnosN-AplAe7Q.html
Big teeth on that blade is very dangerous.man kick backs will send you for stitches. Good luck.ive had my share of tetanus shots so watching now much safer.lol
I do not do this every day and when I did work at the house I worked 10-4. I also live right behind the mechanic shop of a dealership, they make way more noise than me.
I gotta say, the headcam is the best idea I've ever seen in these scrapping videos. You learn so much more from a first-person perspective.
Thanks for watching

Thank you
At a place I worked I used diablo blades to cut 80/20 and when I wasn't there some a-hole would use it to cut steel and it would screw up the teeth.

Thanks you for your support
I've always been thoroughly impressed with Diablo blades for many different applications.

Hey bro that's a needle flow control valve on that ram you got....awesome vids learn a lot of tricks from ya

Those steel covers are good for some pretty sturdy rolling tables if they are heavy enough gauge. Little plinky wooden tables probably won't do you much good. Lol!
I save then if they are in good condition
when i worked on demolition we used to use stone cutting disks on any allow we cut doesnt clog blade up and last longer
Dimond Saw blades? I was a concrete cutter for 10 years. I use to spin 98" blades. lol
@@ProjectShopFl Silicone Carbide abrasive grit ones lasted 3 times as long as metal cutting disks on alloy
Nice pick up man, good video as always 😎👍
Thanks
Hey Derek I just scored a massive load of these transformers paying $.15 a pound for them is that a good price they’re all copper
That's a sweet deal! 👊

Yeah you you have to hang on that grinder good so she don't get away when she kicks back I've had one to get away before
I have a death grip on that thing. lol
Awesome copper score.
Thanks

It was $40 I think.
Great stuff, transforming transformers 👍 thank you
Thanks
If you used a rotary hammer in hammer mode with a Kwik Chisel for metal you would zip that copper off in no time and avoid all that grinding.
I don't think it will be that easy but I will have to give it a try.
Have ever considered a plasma cutter their way cheaper than you think so you would make your money back in no time I bit the bullet and invested and it’s literally the best thing I bought except for the rest of my tools 🤣😂👍🏻
It's on the wish list. lol
This guy made more money than the small metal recycling co.
Thanks
Great video!, is that an old fire fighters jacket? Nice touch while cutting!
Yes I use the fire jacket to weld, grind and cut metal
If their's a tool that's going to bit you. It will most definitely be the grinder.
Thanks for the warning

Suggestion, why not run a couple of beads of weld on top of the steel plates to hold them together?
Thats a good idea if you have a welder.
I just figured you had one with all the other equipment we see in your shop.
What you do with those fibre spacers? I like to buy if you have enough for a container.
Usually through them out. I keep some for isolators. what size are you looking for?
@@ProjectShopFl any size above 9 inches is ok for me.
love to see a guy misusing a carbide tipped saw blade in a grinder wearing a shirt that says "fuck your mask". truly a public health and safety expert
Well I did say I don't recommend using that blade like that and I'm trying to help people not be such slaves.
@@ProjectShopFl thank you for your service
They do make alu zip cuts io use Walter but they are expensive.
Thanks for the info
@@ProjectShopFl np i enjoy your content any welding supplies store should have them or be able to order them for you just ask for aul zip disks
Glue on the copper is #2. And sometimes it's aluminum coated w/ copper. I was pissed because I didn't check it the beginning.
Thanks for the info and for watching.

So what does aluminum transformer wire bring per lb?
Cast AL prices .55 in Miami
I think touching them apart would be faster
Thanks for the suggestion
love it
Thanks
How much cooper do you get on average from one of those big transformers?
It depends in all kinds of things. Theses one I think were aluminum.
What part of Florida you live on
West Palm Beach
Nothing worse than a breaker popping while your trying to work l. Makes me want to find some big transformers to break down

Batch of bad tyres that but that wheel looked like it had a wobble like bearing or stub axle is bent
It was just the tire, no wobble with the new one.

I thought you can make over $10000 per month for scraping.
You can if you hustle
@@ProjectShopFl I made $10000 one day for copper roof scraping, but no more second time,

Had a sealed sand & epoxy filled transformer, super bitch, I gave up on. Anyone successful with that type?
Yes, I use to put them in a fire and the sand falls right off. lol
