Custom Made CAR SOFA! 1968 LTD Automotive Art

Construction of this sofa began by trimming the complete rear end off of the vehicle. This includes the bumper, quarter panels, decklid and taillights. We then fabricate a steel structure to brace the body panels as well as to provide us with a base for the seat cushions. The inside of this piece and the frame that we fabbed are painted in our booth to seal everything up. We then create the foam cushions and leather wrap them here in our upholstery shop. This sofa is upholstered with Moore and Giles leather.
This LTD came in to us with some awesome patina, which we wanted to retain, so it was cleaned up and clear coated in our booth. Any and all sharp edges have been covered and the couch has been fit with lockable casters. There are some scratches and other marks as expected.
The factory taillights are ran off a custom harness that contains an AC/DC converter that plugs into any standard wall socket. This harness also contains a wireless converter and module with a key fob that allows you to turn the bumper on and off remotely. It also allows you to brighten or dim the lights to your exact tastes. The license plate light is also functional and powered by a separate switch.
