Em Is fasho The Goat Of Hip Hop Forever! The 3rd Verse is my favorite motivational verse/emotionally driven Em verse of All Time! You finally see why we support this man through thick & thin he’s inspirational and has been through alot👊🏽🐐✨💯(He's basically saying that whatever might be going on in your life, you can use music as a refuge.
“That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing / Except for a dream, and a fuckin' rap magazine”
Adding to this he adresses those who criticize him for being a bad influence on kids and says that if his music means something to kids going through tough times, then it's all worth it.
“Or for anyone who's ever been through shit in their lives / Till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die / Till they throw on a rap record and they sit, and they vibe / We're nothin' to you but we're the fuckin' shit in they eyes”
In Dream On by Aerosmith, Steven Tyler is essentially saying that you shouldn't give up on your dreams and that you should 'Seize the moment'. Another familiar theme explored by Eminem. You should 'Lose yourself in the moment' because you never know if you'll get another chance tomorrow.
“Sing with me, sing for the years, sing for the laughter, sing for the tears, Sing it with me, just for today, maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away...”
I think it's nice how he links the meaning of these two songs together. Btw Em has many of black fans why does it matter if it’s any Black people or not most Hip Hop consumers aren’t black surprisingly especially the folks who go to the concerts btw Em wasn’t being braggadocios when he said them/him as rappers can get anything they wanted he was saying that is the god honest truth but yet it can be detrimental to their well being theirs some positives yet some dangers/negatives as well)
Keep in mind that when this came out, when Em was first starting off... "Talking Black" meant a white person using "black street slang". Something like "yo" was not a common thing in "white communities". And some words were pronounced differently in majority "black neighborhoods" than they would be in "white neighborhoods" (work like Ask being pronounced like "axed".)
Combine how words are pronounced, and the use of slang-terms or shortened words, it created a "sound of speech" that would have been called "talking black" when it came from a "white person". This term (talking black) was considered a "highly insulting" way of attempting to insult a person so that you could then turn around and dismiss their effort or influence in the white community. A means of painting someone in a negative way in order to prevent other white people from showing support to the white person talking that way.
HOWEVER.... this is the key point.... that type of "attack on someone" was viewed within the White community itself as being a form of attack when you had "nothing else" to prove your point. That the only thing you could do was to attack someone with a clearly "racist loaded insult".
Ha, caught you. You liked that one, or didn't hate it at least 😂 the 'talking black' thing was something he always used to get thrown at him. He was the only white rapper anywhere near that level since Vanilla Ice, so he got accused of pretending to be someone he wasn't a lot. Either that, or he was "brainwashed" by rap. You guys should check out Superman off this same album. Most people like this album, even people who aren't a fan of his in general. It's low on the shock rap and he spends a lot of it just taking about what's been going on in his life during the time he was writing it. Nice reaction guys 😁
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏾♂️🔥
Dude on the left is just a young kid who likes to hate 😂
React to kill you by em, its from the Marshall Mathers LP
Can you react to - Eminem Not Alike?
Please. Much appreciated!! Unless you don't do it then I take it back lol. It will be appreciated, but not that much appreciated 😂🤣😂😂
Such a good song on horrible ears 😂
Eminem music only for people who really struggled and went thru real pain , mf said it’s lyrical but not beautiful… lol what? Did u not hear that 3rd verse? Anyone who really hit rock bottom gon feel that regardless of color. that’s prolly why y’all don’t vibe wit it that much it’s all good lol..
not seen a dude be so disconnected from reality ! he is not even here :) terrible reaction. wish the best for you guys tho
👍
Reason back then you’d not see any black peeps is because he was not giving the credit deserved yet by that group of American listeners overall.
don't tell them to react to Eminem in the comments
These dudes clearly don’t Eminem or that era of music
Do save WOMENS sports by nick nittoli it’s a Eminem tribute
Talking about "cap cap" and asking what talking "black" means 😂😂😂😂. Nah mean?
Subbed! Will you do don’t say gay or save WOMENS sports by #nicknittoli 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always stick to a single subject.
Yeah that talking black line is a bit 👎
It was a joke bro I joke around a lot 🤣🤣🤣
He’s talking about what was said to him and about him by others. He’s a white kid growing up around mostly black people.
Black kids made fun of him for being white and different. White people made fun of him for “acting black”
It’s stupid. That’s the point
You didn't get the line fam, he rapped that line from the POV of an ignorant white republican type parent who thinks their child is "brainwashed" from rock and rap and that he's "talking black"
Hold this L bozo
@@zemtjoshy6704 Fr, shit went over his head lmao
