How To Stop DRY/FLAKY Scalp On Coarse Type 4C Hair

  • Hi guys,
    I've had this scalp issue for a while now and got to my breaking point when I just wasn't paying attention to my hair so I have started implementing hot oil treatments to my wash day routine and this I know will stop dry flaky scalp on my hair.
    Hot Oil Treatment Recipe :
    Honey - has both emollient and humectant properties, making it a great hair moisturiser. Emollients smooth the hair follicles, adding shine to dull hair. Humectants bond with water molecules, adding moisture to dry strands. By moisturising and locking in shine, honey can help restore the natural luster of your hair.
    Olive Oil - promotes moisturised and healthy scalp, fights infections caused due to bacteria and improves the blood circulation in your scalp. A better scalp blood circulation makes your hair follicles stronger thereby helping to produce hair strands that are softer, healthy and thicker.
    Jamaican Black Castor Oil - will moisturise, thicken, strengthen and rapidly increase hair growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supplying valuable nutrients to hair follicles. Jamaican Black Castor Oil will also prevent hair breakage, dandruff, eczema and dry, itchy scalp.
    Tea Tree Oil - can unclog hair follicles and has numerous antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. These properties all benefit the hair and scalp by removing build-up of dead skin cells, oil and products, increasing oxygen and nutrient supply to the hair follicles and treating and protecting the scalp from infections.
    You can add any other oils you feel will help but keep all ingredients as natural as possible for them to be effective.

    What exactly is your recipe in terms of amounts used? How much honey, castor oil, and tea tree oil are you putting in the bottle before putting the bottle in hot water?

    What can i use to replace the jamaican black castor oil? I have low porosity hair and that oil is to heavy for me, or should i use it every wash day and just use my light oil for the rest of the days?

    • @keysha2980
      @keysha2980 Před 2 lety

      Try jojoba oil , grape seed oil or avocado oil. They are less heavy.
