Best DJ ever is slipmatt… just listen to how quick he cuts in new tracks… all on vinyl - pioneer new age dj’s cut up new tracks all the time. This bloke did it best… and he knew how to scratch. Legend… jungle to old skool to hardcore, love this chap.
To those gave this a thumbs down....obviously you never got to experience these tunes when "We" were. Nice one, top one, get sorted...Those days of Peace, Love and Unity!!!!!!

Back in the day parking up my xr2i and hitting Camden Palais or bagleys. Never my drama. Never any fighting just pure love for the tunes. The moondance album is without a doubt the best album I’ve ever bought. HTID
Jesus, this takes me back! Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Pilled up nights out, poppers, smoking weed on a comedown, blasting this out in the car on the way home. How times have changes, I feel so old but the nostalgia is still there. Would do it all again if I could, no regrets!
I think pretty much all of us who where there would come back with you Simon! especially 88 to 92 when it was all so exciting.I think once it got too mainstream it lost something but I still enjoyed it none the less,Happy days indeed.

"It's time for the underground" wish we were all back in the day.....proper times
1992 saw a new level of pace in breakbeat, I can remember having to Mix alot of choonage towards the back end of the year on minus 6%. Into 93 we went and the pace was up tempo and here to stay, suddenly alot of my 92 tracks could be played in their speedy glory.
Slipmatt for me was one of the DJ'S who dared go that bit quicker, alot of sets I played with some of these choons I played them in the minus half of the pitch control.
Then in 95/96 it all got killed by the worst genre of rave music to hit the crowds, Happy Hardcore.
The atmosphere changed and I left going to see the likes of Sy, Slipmatt and others behind.
What great memories I have, and in my mid 40's I do it now every 3 months or so, at Rejuvenation Leeds.
Back then it was every weekend, armed with the necessities to keep me buzzing.
Enjoyed this loads, please tell me that's someone else on at the end though, lol
Spot on 96 upwards it became cheese fest, I loved the 91/ 94 era proper rave music
I can remember very fondly of my trips to Camden palace and wondering around up and down in the very early 90’s oh those special days 😜

In my days as a DJ on Unity FM in Kingston upon Hull I was booked to DJ at Camden Palace, very interesting when the Southerners heard my accent, talk about a divide :)

"mc -ing to the cat" had me in stitches, spot on though, felt normal at the time .....loved dancing through the night till the morning. Ohh the days.Will cherish the memories forever.
Back then we didn't call it breakbeat or even breakbeat hardcore - we called it HARDCORE plain & simple & may it live on forever :)

Those old break beats do it everytime why did it change to bouncy techno. Should have stayed like thos, dont fix what ain't broken. Still it happened anyway. Wish they still had old dub plates and white labels. Back in the day was wicked when new tunes got dropped like fat controller 94 in complete darkness. Big up old skool massive everytime love x In 96 I got into oasis and eventually in 2003 learnt guitar and started writing songs with my mcing style mixed in. Put in Ross Heathorn merry go round or Ross Heathorn tides or dig it all or dance alnight theres 30 tunes must be one you like peace people x

By Jungle do you mean Brake Beat Hardcore because, yes I would say the term Jungle Techno was used by about 1993 Darkside Hardcore but this is much more 91\ 92
