I’m 50 years young and I’m still listening to the early nineties rave tunes……..slippers has remained totally true to the scene in my opinion and deserves the highest respect ❤ this is a banging mix 😜
53 years old and still remember the real mixers.. Trust me! SlipMatt was one of the elitest Masters... If you are my age, and was a serious raver, you'll know ♥️🙌🏼✌🏻
Started raving at the tender age of 15 in 1989 at the height of acid house music, hardcore wasn't even a thing back then, I partied from 89 to 2003, from acid house to hardcore, to techno and happy hardcore, and I have to honestly say that 1992 was the very best year for music in general, but specially within the hardcore rave scene, and the sheer amount of parties to be had all around the uk was staggering, yeah plenty of rip offs but also loads of good parties, magical moments and music which seemed perfect for the euphoric highs we were all experiencing with various substances, dancing like your on your own, no one can see you, no one judging you, or hassling you, just love and respect.
@@nickyboy74 I went to university in Portsmouth from 93-96, and would pop in to Fusion Records often to pick up the latest flyers for upcoming events. Sterns in Worthing was the best club I went to on the south coast
The godfather of hardcore, old skool will never die, 50 & still love this scene, still rave around the front room, great tunes, great people & great memories, the time when raves were raves, all love by everyone, these nowadays don’t have a clue about raving
35 years in and well with it and still love the tunes that quite simply changed my life. From a shy young man to a guy with so mnay special friends because of rave.
This brought back so many happy memories thank you 🙏 .. best years of my life from 1989-94 .. no worries & the pure joy of flying every weekend at a rave or a club 🕉️

@14:00 I became a rave music fan for life after hearing this song on a UK pirate radio stream over a 56K modem in the United States back in the day! Thank you for wonderful Mix!!!
My first Rave was Slipmatts Birthday at Mansfields legendary, Vibealite 1995 Venue 44. This man and MCMC changed hardcore that night and was integral to the sound I'd loved since the age of 12. Nice little mix, Matt

if any clever person is able to post the click-able time-stamps into the comments or into the description of a serious selection of music like this it really makes it happen #
This is going to sound really dumb, but I'm genuinely curious. I'm into my dnb and have seen DJ Craze and plenty of other DJs mixing, playing records etc and have been listening to this kind of music since I was 12. But I can't for the life of me work out what Slipmatt is doing here. Like, I want to know what the track is that comes in at 29:52 but when I try and find it on Shazam, it just gives me the samples and not the track. So, knowing that in 1992 they had only decks and not the set up now, is he just mixing very quickly for a minute or two or are these actual tracks? Adding in that 'On A Ragga Tip' will always be a favourite track of mine, but for the rest of the mix, I can't quite work out what he's doing.
