How to open a food can in an emergency

- How to open a can of food without can opener or without any conventional tools . If you haven't got a can opener, or any other modern tool, you can use this process to open the can. So if you are on a camping trip or in an emergency and forgot your opener, no worries, we have you covered. This method does not create super sharp edges and leaves you with a usable can afterwards to use for other purposes.

The trick is trying to save that juice. In a true survival situation as soon as that juice started to drain out, I would either try to drink it as it came out of the can or let it drain into a container to use at some point as it has water and nutrients in it.
This would be okay for a small can of tuna or chicken but what about the larger cans like this freeze dried or dehydrated emergency Foods the number 10 can which is huge. Also I have some of the emergency essentials big cans of food 25 years shelf life and I decide to open the cinnamon apple slices last night impossible. I have the old metal handheld can opener that I've had for about 15 years opened every kind of can with it fat a couple of days ago I just opened a can of tuna with it it will not work on these emergency essential freeze dried food cans. I just called them SOB's and they said nobody's ever had a problem with it before. The rim of the can is up too high so when you put the can opener on it and squeeze it it'll just go in but it you can't make it go nowhere you turn the metal part that you're supposed to turn to make the can open to go around and can but it won't move and I tried it several times finally ended up having to get a screwdriver and a hammer and got it almost halfway open and had to pry the lid up to get the apples out. I sure am glad I wasn't here with no power and no nothing and hungry and had no clue that I couldn't open the damn can I'm mad as hell I got about 10 cans of their food what good to go do me anybody got a clue how to open the damn can please help me shut the damn manufacturer couldn't help me.
At least you did not do like the guy who thought he was smart and open it with a spoon. He would have drained out if he hit an artery in a situation.

I was kind of going for weird. Nothing exciting about rubbing a tuna can on a piece of concrete. And the weirdness will make you remember it maybe 😂
