*perform at your own risk and use your best judgment during the process in regard to the total amount of chemical to use, duration of soak, rpm range with chemical in engine..
Performed the b12 soak on a '16 Hyundai Sonata 2.4l with 131,000 miles on engine and oil consumption just over 1 quart per 500 miles on 8-18-24. PCV valve is good. Used 3.5 cans of Berryman b12 over a 45-hour period. Experienced similar rough start after cylinder soak. I had a lot of smoke initially. Rough idle continued, so ran engine at high idle 4,000rpm for ten minutes. Experienced darker smoke during this time. Car was still having a rough time idling without throwing any check engine lights. Went for a test drive and vehicle stalled, loss of power. Got the vehicle restarted. By this time, idle had evened out somewhat. Took the vehicle on a high way drive set in 4th gear at 4,500rpm for twenty-five minutes. Upon returning, I changed the oil and filter. I plan to change the spark plugs soon. If anyone reads this in the future and would like an update, feel free to comment. Will probably be around the first of September 2024 before I have anything to update on.

Hyundai are direct injected engines there for are prone to having unusually gigh amounts of carbon build-up my suggestion in addition to what u have done adding a catch can will go a long way in keeping ur engine running strong i also started running premium because of the higher amounts of detergent in the fuel and a few times a year i run 15w40 synthetic oil for diesel due to its higher concentration of detergents as simple maintenance just food for thought. The amount of smoke that came out of my 328i filled the street with white smoke for about the length of a football field. It cleaned my oil sensor so now it's working properly again. Also not burning a drop of oil and no oil burning smell. I couldn't be more happy. I used my tools and a bore scope. I just did a 8 hour soak. Topped off Then rinse flushed out the spark plug holes. The amount of carbon was monstrous. Although the crankcase is in pristine condition meaning this car had normal oil changes before I bought it in March. I couldn't be more happier. My apologies. Yes so after letting it soak with berrymans b12. For 8 hours I then used sea foam maybe a quarter cup in each spark plug hole then wait 5 min and turn the engine over to flush it. Now the carbon does a number on the catalytic converter as it was like burning coles threw there. It was just carbon though. I'm going to use cataclean next week. Also you will get misfires and hesitation. I put on new coils and ruthenium plugs. As of now my oil is still full 600 miles in. And I don't smell any oil burning. Also keep in mind just sea foam will not work. You have to do the soak with berrymans

So I turned it over without plugs in and the first 2 cylinders had a bunch of carbon come out. But cylinder 3 and 4 were relatively clean. I’m guessing those were the problem cylinders. I use my car for work so i didn’t have much time. But i plan to do it again. I hope it helped only time will tell.

Berryman B-12 has a high evaporation rate from just using it. It is very good at softening/lossening the carbon build-up but I noticed levels in the chambers do drop alot fairly quickly and don't believe it made it's way past the rings into the sump. Going to do another piston soak to see if can clean up last bit or carbon still in there but will re-install the spark plugs to limit evaporation this time to see if it makes a difference.
