Lucy has a wonderful voice. I'll be honest, I never thought this one belonged in anything but the original French with the great Edith Piaf, but if its going to be in English (and not in a smoky bar or sidewalk cafe' in Paris) she has a lovely voice for it and her talent is obvious. More please !

Bob, I noticed this time I watched this video that when she cranked up the power her vibrato changed too. The sweep of her vibrato really made it stand out. Lucy's fabulous vibrato tugs at my emotions with the accompanying chills.
I've been watching Lucy's videos for some time now. You really hear the outstanding execution of the vocal. Her smooth silky voice, her breath control, the excellent vibrato (even, symmetrical), sliding in and out of falsetto effortlessly, is what drew me to her. I was a basket case by the end of this one; chills up my spine plus tears. You gave 3 Wows in a row. 😂 Bob, I agree, a kind of subliminal smile is there if you really look for it. That last line was so powerful it went right through me.

What a beautiful voice! I just went through her channel and she is amazing, but when she is joined by her younger sister, they will blow your mind, Bob. Lucy Thomas (she is British) has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 but like Angelina Jordan has a voice far beyond her years.
Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats.
Her musical track is musical comedy, and she was selected for the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’.
She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. Martha’s voice isn’t as good as Lucy’s but they do sound very good together.

I wonder how many French viewers have seen Lucy's version here. She is so entrancing in her voluptuous voice that they probably don't care it's not sung in French. Well done Bob. The amazing Lucy has some fantastic covers on her channel, she favours quality over quantity, so there is a new one only every few months. Occasionally there is a duet with Lucy singing with her younger sister Martha and they conjure celestial sibling harmonies. Here is the one I consider to be their best, "You Raise Me Up", from a few years ago when Lucy was 16 and Martha only 11, recorded a few months after this "La Vie En Rose" (czcams.com/video/dU00EuczOiA/video.html). I hope you can find the time to watch and enjoy it, even if there isn't room in your reaction list, as it is well worth the few minutes.

Hi Bob, yes, the orchestra sounds really good. Lucy has a great, very clear voice. When you took a break at halftime, I took a break too and looked for other songs by Lucy and her beginnings.

I actually know "La Vie En Rose" from Edith Piaf and Louis Armstrong. However, their voices have a roughness that I'm used to with this song. That's where Lucy differs from the two.
I found a Whitney Houston cover. You really need a voice to sing Whitney songs. Lucy has that voice.
