As a B-series lover and a Mercedes/AMG lover I think this might be the best car ever. Would have been cooler if he used the Mercedes seats and stuff, though.
2015 I was scouring CL ads for a 86-93 Mazda B-Series truck with a good rolling chassis that had a valid title. I found one in Dallas, TX. No seats, no motor, and no trans. The owner didn't speak much English but he told me that he was trying to put in a Mercedes Diesel drive-train from a late 80's 300D but gave up before seeing it through fruition. He had the trans tunnel welded shut to go from a 5 spd. Mazda trans to the automatic trans of the Mercedes. There was even diesel fuel in the factory Mazda fuel tank that I had to drain and clean out. I still own the truck and have most recently installed a Holley Sniper EFI system on the Mazda 2.2 Liter motor.

Now that the Rover V8 is out of production, I think we’ll see a lot of Mercedes, BMW and Jaguar power plants in British hot rods in the next few years.
I have a 1989 mazda b2200 or 2600i with a v8 swapped that came from a 1994 mustang cobra and apparently it goes 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and it idling is LOUD it sounds like a nascar
I wanted to put a 3.0 V6 in my 92 b2200 cuz i figured that's all thatll fit but now that ik you can fit a V8 in it I gotta go all the way 👀😂😂 i cannot wait hahhaha
