Great tone and playing. B.B. King ( 490r and t pickups, semi hollow guitar) and Gary Moore ( Les Paul guitar ), they couldn't be wrong. Great job Gibson! Weight relief, 490 rt pickups, maple neck, satin nitro finish and i have traditional Les Paul with extended range tone.

I have the 2011 Goldtop model 60s Tribute with P90s - the tone is pretty good played through mostly Traynor 1969 YGM or Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb. The P90s give it a special character - raw
Yes, I believe so, but they are not putting years on them anymore. Its a "Modern Collection". I have the exact same one, but mine is Satin Cherryburst. Looks exactly the same except for the color. I bought mine from the Gibson online store two months ago. They also have the trapezoid inlays instead of the old dots.

Perso j'ai remplacé les micros 490R/490T de ma Les Paul Tribute 2018 (corps plein) par deux SH-55 (Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers) et là on change de catégorie ! Je ne la lâche plus, mes 5 Fender font un peu la tronche
the tribute lol the question is tribute to what ? thats the best Guitar Gibson offers it´s less blink and more a Beast a good Instrument comfortable to hang around the shoulder cause ist`s light and has a nice tone ,affordebel ,stays well in tune and ya have less problems and more fun it´s a pretty workhorse with a nice and comfortable marple Neck

@String Picker i got the 2017 Satin Gold, and 2018 HoneyBurst, I love them both but I think the 498T in the 2018 has a bit more throat to it (and weight)

Agreed! Those picks ups are PAF heaven. If BB King used on his ES Lucille they are good enough for me.

@String Picker i got the 2017 Satin Gold, and 2018 HoneyBurst, I love them both but I think the 498T in the 2018 has a bit more throat to it (and weight)
