- 4 Stupid Car Ideas That Keep Me Up At Night! Dumb Car Pranks, Retired Police Cars, and other stupid things Car Guys say, do, and think of! Here's a banger car prank right? Totally harmless too. Just here me out. So Get a friend with the exact car, same color, same everything, who also needs to dress like you or look similar enough to you at a glance. So then go to a Car meet or Stoplight and see if you can get someone to agree to a race, on an empty road in Mexico of course, and make sure that road has at least one Turn that goes like around a building, trees, or other obstacles that obscure visibility and you’ll see why later.
When you line up at the stoplight, let the opponent pull ahead, when their car has exited your view, that means you have also exited their view, so just take a turn and leave the road because it’s now your Friend’s turn to carry the prank. So after that guy you raced makes it past the turn, he suddenly sees the exact same car he passed, and to top it off, your friend rolls down the window and hits him with the: “Yo, what took you so long?”.
But yeah, this is an Idea I’ve played with for a few years now. It just cycles around my noggin every now and then and honestly if one of y’all did this or already have done it, feel free to tweet it at me, linked below:

You know these really do keep you up an night with how oddly specific and elaborate.
I have TWO doppelgangers apparently so the first one is entirely possible.
Yeah, thats why I figured they are too hard to be the sole topic of a video because of how oddly specific they were. I still wanted to throw them out there just because I want others to suffer in my silliness.
@@BladedAngel Already suffer from the same silliness, if anything you validate me 😭

50% of it went well.
I failed due someone who I was overtaking opening his door and me hitting my mirror. And I am driving way too "safe" sooo yeah. Life goes on. Thank you everyone for your support. Means a world. Anyways I'll be having a chill Monday ^^

Well, that's weird! 🤔

A retired Crown Victoria gets me everytime and some black Explorers 😂
Damn Explorers in black or dark blue......

I drive a retired 2014 police interceptor Ford Taurus and when we drove along the the I10 from Las Cruces to Pensacola it was almost complete smooth sailing as soon as I would switch to the passing lane, everyone would hurry up to the driving lane and slow down to let me pass and by the time people relize we weren't a police car we'd be way past them
I've got a 2015 charger patrol and ive fool, actually cops they think im a unmarked car from a different department and i get away with soo much right in front of them.
Las Cruces, the one town I can say that it's a good idea to winter camp in a van with zero insulation and no heater. I know because I'm trying to get a cheap RV and leave LC lol
@@tatsuhirosatou5513Add some antennas too for a nice relaxing driving as people clear the passing lane for you
I had a 2011 Charger R/T that was all black. When the sun roof was open, the air shield that came up. All my buddies thought that from a distance it looked like a cop car.
People always slammed their brakes, slowed down, or moved out of the way.
So in summary.... do it!
My friend had a 2018 charger all black, even though I knew him and knew the car, I would still slow down / move out the way
Final stage of every single car enthusiast :
“I just want a car that I can hop into, that’s my day to day car, that everyone just leaves me alone in” 😆
that's me, and I can't even drive yet 😂
Americans: I want a small car
Rest of the world: That's not small, that's average
I feel Kei Cars are still "Small" even by Rest of World Standards.
Hatchbacks, Compacts and Sedans are considered, "Medium" by most countries. Unfortunately in U.S. people call those kids cars :(
Europe did have as small cars like kai cars. @@BladedAngel
@@BladedAngelyes while they are considered small, they're still considered as a regular car and not a minicar like you said
Hatchbacks don't provide enough freedom
@@BladedAngelA full-size SUV is considered "medium" to them. Considered "perfect size" when they see a modded F-150 with higher ground clearance and bigger tractor sized tires. In summary your car has to be as big as a M4 Sherman or close to those big rigs.
crown vic owner here... people will most definitely think you're a cop and they will leave you alone in even an ancient ass crown vic, you dont even need a lightbar up top, because just a push bar and a spotlight on a sedan is enough to scare people shitless, im the same way as you, i just want to be left alone and this car that i got for $1800 and painted for $1000 does the trick!
Bruh i used to have a all white crown vic with xenon light bulbs and everytime i was on the highway cars will slow down till i passed . will full on say did they think was cop? Idk . did get to my destination faster due to cars moving out the way and slowing down? I did indeed
Ok so I'm not the only grown-ass adult who shamelessly buys "toy" cars. Excellent.
It's almost impossible to resist looking at the Hot Wheel cars in your major department stores! Regardless how old we are. 😅
Bro if Grown Ass Adults collect literal pieces of Cardboard paper liek Pokemon or Baseball cards, I think we can have our cool-ass detailed model cars.

Regarding the Lego Speed Champions. The first few models were 6 studs wide, all the ones on the forza expansion are those ones. But then Lego changed it to 8 studs wide to add in more details and generally make them look better.
So now all the Speed Champions models are 8 studs wide.
Then there's Lego Technic models, those are more about the insides rather than the outside look. Those have the small scale (usually pullback and around the size of Speed Champions but a tad bigger), then the medium modes (like that Bolide one you showed) more detail and the insides are better (diff, engine, etc). Then the big Technic models (such as the Chiron, Ferrari Daytona, etc) those are full on detail in the inside, working engine, gear selector, differential, etc. Also hella expensive.
Then there's Lego Creator, no working inside like Technic but focus on the outside, most with openable features and detailed engine bays and interiors, smaller than the big Technic sets but bigger than the medium ones. Although not done as much since the Creator lineup is more than just vroom vroom machines.
That's about all i know about Legos despite not owning a single set, hope it helps :D
I buy Lego cars based on the "pieces to stickers ratio", (The Lego Ideas Caterham with no stickers is by far my favourite.) so Speed Campions is out of the question here. For display purposes I would recomend the Creator Expert line, (especially if you like vintage sports cars) although they're more on the expensive side...
Creator sets also offer 3in1 sets.
The 8 stud wide sets are a bit smaller than 1/24. Comparing the GR Supra and an FT1 model. The sets are between 1/24 and 1/32
I have a speed champions Ferrari 512M and it seems to be to scale. I haven't measured it but if you find one you can do that yourself.
so that's why in the forza expansion they look less detailed compared to newer models
not really with cars, but in Germany we have a kinda fairy tale where two hedgehogs use the doubleganger prank to troll a rabbit who made fun of them for being slow. They agree to race several laps back and forth between two points, and every time the rabbit arrives, a hedgehog will appear and say he had already waited there.
Twins have done that in foot races.
*doppelganger
@@luislebronaponte2737My bad, I had a feeling that I had a typo somewhere but didn't know where
@floundario3011 No worries. It does sound a lot like doubleganger. I believe I've seen it mispronounced just like this on some mispronounced something or other reddit video. 🤔 I think it's a video covering posts from "r/boneappletea" (mispronounced bon appétit).
The rare german tale without a child dying a painful death (he didn’t finish his dinner on time)
Theres a guy near me that drives a retired police charger. Kicker is the chargers cops drive around here don't have lightbars. Looks exactly the same until you're close enough to see his tiny little K&N sticker on his bumper.. even has the interceptor badges.
I need to get the interceptor badge for mine and same in my area we jave a lot of unmarked chargers with no lightbars so everyone thinks im a cop
I used to have a retired crown Vic. A couple times, I put on a bright Hawaiian shirt and took my sister's hair dryer out to the side of the highway. I would park off the road, get out of the car, and point the hair dryer at traffic.
Lmao what

@@BladedAngel nah nah HOWs the Miata, Bladed?
I can confirm as a lego collector youngling someone thing...
The Lego Speed Champions cars all have the same scale (the ones you can get in stores). The old ones look bad and are way too small, but the new ones are fine as hell
The Porsche 963 is my favourite. Getting the Dark Horse one soon. I'm in my mid 40s😂
I think, the older are 6 studs wide, while the new ones are 8 studs, which is better proportion-wise.
The Older Speed Champions Models were 6 Studs wide, like the Ford the 3rd Gen Ford GT look so bad
The Combo Set with the Ford Bronco really improved the look of the GT
The roof rack gets me constantly
I knew 2 guys that owned decommissioned police chargers. The local PD sold off some older blacked out models with the bronze decals. One of the guys replaced the lights with a light bar and got it off road ready. He even got bronze decals put on it (not PD markings) because he liked how it looked. It never seemed to cause issue until he was almost shot because some wannabe gangster thought it was an actual cop car. He has since changed the main color.
first one is genius!
Also, as someone who used to collect transformers, I was a total scale nut who wanted every character to scale properly with each other lol.
My dad’s work truck looks very similar to our police trucks in a mirror. When he drives it he notices significantly less bad drivers.
Brotha I drive a R35 and I just purchased a 2024 Corolla SE and you and me have the same mindset! I just wanted to be left alone and I ABSOLUTELY love it. Finally peace and quiet and a stress free drive💪🏽🙌🏽 Definitely do it you won’t regret it……..
And Yeah Brotha you aren’t the only one who has been bamboozled by the damn roof rack. 😂
Going off 2:38 i have a retired ford interceptor utility with the ecoboost, readded a lightbar, they cut and tuck the wires and reconnected it, siren and lights work, spotlight works and everyone calms down around me lmfao i love it
You're gonna catch a case bro
@@clonecommandermike332 SEEI THOUGHT OF THAT BUT THESE MFS JUST LOOK AT ME AND THEY DGAF I HAVE 5 PERCENT TINT IN THE BACK, 20 IN THE FRONT 2 AND 30 on WINDSHIELD AND THEY STILL DONT GAF bUt my tinted out corolla? Every time they gotta come after
for #2, you could also install a light bar on top like an LED one for off-roading. it would probably look more convincing
Depends, some places are super asshole-y about any lightbar (hence why theyr'e called "Off-road" light bars AKA not intended for road use)
@@BladedAngel ah i see thats prob why ive never actually seen one on a car or truck
i tought about it too, and also if you put just some blue and red stickers on the rack, not detailed at all just a blank blue|red sticker, it is not against the law and could fool some more at daylight
@@BladedAngel i could be wrong but i think some states dont allow spot lights if you buy a retired police car
@BladedAngel, as long as they aren't connected to the battery its completely legal and in my area everyone goes down the highway with massive light bars turned on.
The second idea reminds me in NJ I curse every black Ford Explorer because these mfs know exactly what they getting the car for. They scare the shit out of me at night when I can't tell if that's a police car or not.
Fuck everyone who drives an old police car
on the subject of legos
There is no consistent scale for the lego cars. The speed champions were originally 6 studs wide, the new ones are now 8 studs wide. The technic ones are all over the place
since you mentioned minifig scale, there's kinda two different minifig scales. One going off of the fig's height, the other off of their width. A lot of them settle on 1:40 for minifig scale, but that's an unofficial standard that the lego company has never bothered to follow. The speed champions aren't really built to a set price most of the time, and the scale between them is somewhat irrelevant to the designers. They are great fun to build and decent to display, so long as you're willing to overlook the downsides that come with them, inconsistent scale being one of the biggest downsides.
6:44
On that note, I was at an intersection in my area that was right next to an elementary school and that is well known for being terrifying. A police car came through, and it had a fire truck not to far behind, lights and sirens blaring, and some idiot in a pickup pulled into the left turn lane it was going to use to get through. This meant the fire truck had to hit the brakes and almosr curb check the wheels trying to weave around him. Then after that, he merged right back onto the lane he came from. Thats just one story from that intersection.
We need more of these videos they are the best😂😂😂
Love This type of Content Mannnn
I feel you on the size consistency. I'd like 1/18s and 24s but mostly find a wild variety of 1/32s and 1/36s
4:27 you got me remembering when I had my first car. Everyone would not try to pass me when I was on the road. It was a ’06 dodge charger r/t that was an inspector vehicle due to it had the original leather seats with the small slots for the lights on the rear window and a shelf in the trunk for weapons.
love the content i try to watch every video so i enjoy the fun random videos like this
This was the most awesome vlog I've watched in a while.
Yo bladed you should do a mailbag of rating your subs cars I feel like that would be good for the content. Love your videos tho bro.
I really enjoy these types of videos and find them quite funny and interesting
This video was needed 🔥
This channel has inspired me. Saw a comment from 6 years ago when you said you had 229 subs👀👀Wow!!!

Yeah, Previous owner issue, thankfully it was like $19.99. I've since hot glued it's axle back. It spins too!

Nice Velvet figure! 🤘🏻 and I see the color coordination too lol
I own a 2017 Charger Pursuit with the spotlight and push bar still attached. It’s pretty awesome. People will leave you alone entirely, but I’ve had instances where I’m driving behind someone on a one lane street and they’ll go five under the limit. Really really sucks when they do that and you’re in a hurry 😂
great small cars to start working on: Ford Ka, FIAT Seichento, Trabant 601, Trabant 1.1
These kinda videos feed into my roting brain from my friend screaming skiiibidiiiii, and i love it
Wow even my dream car is the one that goes fast but is stealthy like I don't want people to notice me, I also like small cars not as small as the one in your video but small hatchbacks and stuff I love those they are so maneuverable and are fun to drive.
Auto Art, makes some of the most amazing model cars in the scene. You have some great model cars in your collection. If I had some extra spending money, I would be nice to get some JDM auto art model cars and get a nice shelf to display them.
I’ve been collecting LEGO for so long. For the past few years I’ve started collecting speed champions. I recommend getting the basic minifig scale speed champions. The techniques are better when building it.
5:38 My friend has a retired Crown vic every time we drive it no matter day or night everyone opens the line for us and sometimes people slow down if they are over the speed limit when they see the car it's funny and cool at the same time
The one I'm surprised didn't land here, given all the ancillary pieces, R/C!! It's the best of all the worlds, IMHO. You can build for display and function. You can actually drive and physically engage with them and not have to make "vroom, vroom" noises, lol. You can pick a set scale and go to town!
The modification world in R/C is only rivaled by the aftermarket modification industry of actual, full scale cars. In short, might be worth contemplating as an ancillary hobby for a car enthusiast such as yourself. I loved building my 1st TT-02 from the ground up (got the 2016 Subaru WRX STi Nurburgring Edition to pair with my 2015 STi). It's like building a model mixed with an erector set that has receivers, servos, and electric motors, lol. All in for the 1st kit with batteries and the controller was around $400ish. So, not a terribly expensive hobby, but it certainly can get there 😬.
My first car was a retired 2014 charger, as fun as it was with a heavy rwd sedan. It didn’t last too long, still loved it though and will definitely be buying a newer one when possible
That police car idea is just like why we want a clean toyota crown here in Japan.😆Most undercover cars are like that and will make almost everyone question themselves before they overtaking you.
You're gonna love the lego Speed Champs. The Ferrari is SUPER smooth for a lego. I've also got the R34 GTR, it's blockier than the F12, but I kinda love it for it. And they are fun to play around as well.
As for the size, I think they'll fit in your collection.
That tekken music will forever HIT
I love mini cars. Thats why I drive a miata. Its a mini viper, lol.
That's all I've got.
Cheers.
The new speedchampins sets that are on shelfs now are the same scale as each other but the old ones are smaller
What’s your opinion on heat wrapping your exhaust manifold ive been looking into it a lot and ive seeen like 90% people say its good but also some people bring up the issue of it causing rust so idk
Love that collection. I want to do something similar, but I have no space. 😭
“Cheaper and slower car” and proceeds to use a car that I worked 4 years to buy💀🤣
Man my dream vehicles are all big: hummer, excursion, f650, Kodiak
Not a charger but I had a Taurus interceptor as a daily. It was great tbh. Nobody gives you grief and even cops mistook it for an active unit at times lol. But it genuinely was a great daily. Decent on gas and awd was great for winter
Those mini car things sound epic.
Who doesn't want to drive a 1:1 scale Wild Wing from Mariokart?
He so excited with the first one haha
For the last one lock up some of the brittish sportcars quite small and fun.
😂😂 amazing
I have a retired Crown Vic Police Interceptor with the push bar and dual spot lights (no lights or decals). People occasionally get out of the way on the freeway and I get the occasional look but that's it. It's only good to be a reliable daily driver that can be used for long road trips.
I have a collection of speed champions sets (abt 20), and as far as I can tell, all of the ones labeled as speed champions are the same scale so I would recommend them, they are surprisingly detailed for their size and only cost abt $20 a car
That Corvette is pretty sick
You should create a series where you Travel to countries for their car culture and review them give your opinion, you can do this by researching or physically going there
Speed champions after 2019 are pretty much all 8 studs wide. Very consistent and totally worth the money.
Please bladed angel I would love to see more diecast car videos maybe a vlog or something like that of you going to a diecast convention
I have thought of the first two for wayyyyyy too much time.
I love those type of jokes
The roofrack looking like a lightbar is real, soccermoms in their explorers really got me slowing tf down just bc they got a roofrack
Nah man. Ixve seen a few white Ford Explorers rolling around my area with roof racks. And I stg it has to be intentional. Cause they drive and creep like they're trying to feign themselves as a cop to scare people. It's gotten me a few times. You ain't alone.
I collect hot wheels and Lego Cars, I have like 20 (most of them are Christmas presents) and I want more. My favourite is the Audi Quattro.
lol coming from someone with really good eyesight and likes to play “guess that car by just the headlights” with myself too much, retired cop car with roof rack has got me too.
It’s not your eyes😭
I meassured around on my Lego Lamborgine Countach and its about a 1:28 scale.
The new ones try to be to scale but the older ones are not. For example the McLaren P1 (one of the first released) has a single middle seat, the Countach has 2. Because of this the P1 scaled up would be ~50cm(almost 2 ft) thinner.
I have a base Tacoma, idea 1 is not only feasible for me but incredibly likely just out n about on chance, genius.
My dad has a lego museum and I love cars so I’ve built a lot of lego cars for him. The bigger 1700-2300 piece range are bigger but have more detail (suspension, engine)and less stickers. The smaller ones are not as consistent in size but if they have a mini figure on the box they probably fit them in the passenger seat, so they are all about the same I’d say. The big technics hurt my thumbs a lot so I don’t recommend but they’re really cool when completed, and lightailing has extremely cool leds for some of the technic sets.
Minifig scale is literally the vaguest thing because you have sets like the marvel iron monger that pushes 1:18 and then you have sets like the millennium falcon that go closer to 1:50-1:70 depending on which one it is. I believe actual minifigs are 1:30something for height and 1:40something for width. Been a moment since i checked.
That 2015 Charger In Stone Mountain Been Sitting There For Yrs, I Damn Near Drive By Ot Everyday 😂
I've had the same "fake cop" encounters but with Ford Explorers and Ford Taurus cars.
I was literally fooled by the fake cop car last week. Had the roof rack and everything. Even after it passed me, my brain was still processing wth was happening. My guy had a bunch of Goku and AoT characters on the door panels
Coming from a long time lego enthusiast, I can tell you that the lego speed champions sets used to be 6 studs wide but they went to 8 studs wide a few years ago. Im not sure what scales they are but the scales are alittle bit disproportionate even amongst themselves. For example: I own all 3 fast and furious sets 2 of which are both speed champions sets, one being doms charger and the other being brians skyline. Both cars are 8 studs wide and are the same size meanwhile irl a 70 charger is way bigger than any skyline. Lego also has multiple themes that have detailed cars such as speed champions, technic, and creator which all have various scales as well. There are small $40 technic sets like the jeep wrangler and they are $350 huge sets like the buggatti. The point im making here is that the lego designers dont really care about scale themselves and focus more on different price points.
I have a bunch of SC legos, a good portion are minifig scale. Just grab the like $20-30 ones an they are pretty consistent. if you want I can send a pic lol
Besides being a car enthusiast ( Miata and Rover 75) i collect retro video game big boxes, gameboys and HO scale modell trains. 🎉
I drive a Veloster N. Its fun and peppy. Most people leave me alone. When i test drive a mustang and camaro people wanted to race.
3:25 you can probably still add a light bar. Like, one of the light bars you would see on an off-roading vehicle or something. Not the red and blue ones just a regular light bar.
One of my Co-workers has a plain white 2019 Ford Explorer with a black push bar on the front to serve as some form ofprotection because of how many deer there are in the area. It really looks like an Unmarked. The leopard seat covers give it away if you are close enough, but it fools a LOT of people in the area.
We've got a sv6 z series ex police car, its pretty cool

I know the feeling about the model cars. I'm very particular about my trains and its VERY addicting. I got got at least $3,500 in preorders rn for this year
No no you've got a point with the retired cop car thing, I would do it if I could
That blue charger for 15k is right in my hometown Stone Mountain. Man I gotta go back and visit.
Me and my friends do this. It's a bonus one of us has a ute and the other has a sedan 🤣
I used to have a baby blue 92 crown vic, and my plate number was 547SHC. I lived in Howell county, and everyone thought my plate meant Howell County. The county had a baby blue unmarked 92 crown vic. I also had a CB in the car, so I had the extra antenna. People would always go 5mph under the limit when I was behind them, and it drove me nuts!
I must try this one day
Bladed if you want some nice lego sets, get one of the more expensive ones like the mustang or the technic charger.
@5:04 brooo I own a 2012 Tahoe Police and a 2018 charger Daytona and Mann I love driving the Tahoe over the charger because people leave me alone😂😂😂
Had a crown vic with a spotlight and fresh black paint. Always kept it clean. No pushbar, no stickers, no antennas. Fooled the the public into slowing down and moving right, 4 way stop intersection always let me go first, road ragers went the other way and cops up to no good thought i had rank on them. 60 mph never felt so fast, double that made you feel invincible.
That roof rack at night tho lol
