Gary Gibson hahahHha....dude, I actually like Opie but you can't deny his faults, The Hold On and Callers are quite annoying. ik he takes callers so fans that feel the need to have a radio show they can interact with, can interact with them, but it sucks listening to 95% of callers as a listener.

18:30 I worked after getting my high school in many different jobs. I worked call centers, warehouses, outdoor labour, and I was fed up. I was referred to this career aptitude testing center by my dad, and it came down to I could just learn a trade and make good money, or go for a dream job based on my artistic talents. I went for the "follow your dreams" path and went to college for a 1 year art and design course-at which point I could take on a 3 year animation course, or a 3 year graphic design course. Based only on not wanting to draw the same thing over and over, I chose graphic design. I loved it. After graduation and some struggles, I now work for an apparel company designing their catalog(ue)s and flyers making a nice buck.

Burr is sadly correct about college. The only way to make it work is if you get a doctorate, which will eventually mean just as little a Bachelors does now. I wish someone would have told me that 10 years ago.
I got a doctorate from UCLA and I make a nice living. The thing is, unlike most American college kids, I wasn't a "communication" or "sociology" major . Most of you are entitled, spoiled and fucking illiterate when you enter college and you leave it the same way . What you learn in college is how to get drunk and high and where the nearest abortion clinic is. So, yeah, best not to go to college .

hoy shit when bill burr made that rascar noise i lost it hahaha. ive lost a few game saves that made me piss myself. i had over 100 hours in final fantasy on ps2 and lost that, then on my og ps3 lost it as well. ps3 crashed a few times lost over 100 hours in fallout vegas, had to redo resident evil 5 on professional about 4 times from crashes, lost alot of games that i was 100+ hours into.
It really makes me wonder how long these modern game saves can last.
HDDs suck, moving parts break and they have a shelf life of anywhere between 5 months to 25 years. Not exactly unreliable but you really have no idea how long they will last.
SD card type storage has no parts to break, but they're designed to give you 1 good year of use. Anything past that is just great luck.
Game carts seem to have an unlimited shelf life, just need to replace the battery (if it even uses one) every so often. I've got saves from 25 years ago, or rather HAD before I replaced the batteries, for some of my old NES and SNES games.
Really makes me glad I never kept track of game time. Dragon Quest 9 has 500+ hours on the file, which I really don't like seeing. I can play a fun game until the end of time, but SEEING the time makes it feel like a massive waste.

An education any more should have a few general classes so you understand the basics of whatever discipline you pursue then computer classes so you are comfortable with whatever computer you end up with in the workplace.

only recently have I began to notice that opie brings nothing to the show. nothing. and now, it's just distracting. he was extra bad in this segment. ant and bill brought the funny and opie would interject and suck all the air out of the room. and after he would kill all the momentum, he would just move on to the next caller or plug bill again to deflect the awkward attention he created. it's a damn shame jim isn't working with ant right now.

Mismanagement of money. If you grow up poor in the hood, get a million dollar NBA contract, what do you know about financial responsibility? Most athletes get recruited by colleges to play sports, not to learn anything in classes. A 2.0 GPA is required to continue to play in college...that's a c- average. I went to school with someone that went to the nba, and I watched as teachers and administrators pushed him through the system. That have camps to groom athletes when they get drafted to the pros. Why? Because they know they didn't learn shit in school. Paying attention in econ, accounting, or business class would give you some basic finance understanding so you aren't buying mansions, Lamborghinis, and making it rain in the club. One injury and your career is done.

Regardless of the value of college, does that caller at 14:00 really think all the guys on the A's didn't get their degrees because they didn't possess the intellectual capacity? Or maybe is it because they had to opportunity to begin their multi-million dollar careers directly out of high school or after three years in college and have no use for a college degree barring a career ending injury? If you played four years of college baseball, that typically means you're not good enough to even be drafted, let alone make it to the major leagues. Not to mention all the Latin players who would never have had the money to go to college and live in countries where farming is still the number one profession.
It’s funny these dudes complain about finances and getting ripped off it’s like “Uhhhh fellas Finance and also Accounting are college majors.” I get their point on some degrees but otherwise it’s like yeah other than Opie who I think is a college graduate it’s like yeah spoken like someone that didn’t graduate college and has no credibility on this topic.

The only occupation in the world it is suitable to go to college for is a medical doctor? Really guys? haha, so of course it is fitting that you DON'T need a college degree at all to get into medical school and a lot of doctors never got the standard college degree they are talking about. Also, I guess all those accountants, engineers, biologists/chemists etc. just learned all that at some trade school. Then, 'what's the difference between a bank and a loan shark?' Is this actually supposed to be a serious question? Please tell me this is a joke. Regulation, deposit guarantees, securities fraud protection, fixed interest rates, currency exchange... These guys should REALLY stick to pop culture, which they are fantastic at.
