welp,, there is also option to produce based on order.
but in anyway perfect supply and demand is impossible.
I believe even if they do that, some people will still try to be a reseller and order based on demand assumption.
maybe they will order too much and someone will have to hold the unsold items. And some people don't even have the money at the time they open order.
Also for this metal structure, they will need to plan the qty more carefully, as it will have special materials and on top of that being more expensive, material, technology wise.
While it's true there is no perfect solution Bandai's thinking has always been, "12,000 people want this, we can make 10,000... we'll make 3,000."

The tanks open up for a maintenance display looks even better if you have a hanger display set to put around it.

It's awesome with all the moving parts and detail, but I agree with the lack of attention and detail on the included base/stand.
I've actually seen two of these in person and I hadn't heard of it before. I was honestly not prepared for the price tags on them though, one was part of a giveaway at a locally owned pla shop and the whole lot was valued at something crazy like $2,000. The other one I saw was a hobby town and that thing alone was over $500 but I guess it's better than whatever people online would be asking for, either way it was too rich for my blood and like I said I had no idea what it was so I passed on em. Crazy to think that I saw not just one but two holy grails

I really wish I knew about this figure. When it comes to Gundam collectables, I'm VERY shortsighted only looking for the Megahouse figures. These metal structures are works of art.

I won't settle for anything less than Perfect Grade Unleashed for the Sazabi... Unfortunately long before they do a Sazabi PGU they'll do the Zaku, Unicorn, and Strike Freedom.
I saw one of these today at a local hobby shop for $3500. Had to peel my eye balls to make sure they weren't playing tricks on me.
Shame daban never made a bootleg version of these two. It would have been awesome

I have a couple of the Nu Gundam Fin Funnel copies. They are nice but don't come with the stand that attaches to the maintenance stand and the brackets to mount them to the back of the Nu had to be sanded down to seat correctly in the slot. At $199 though, the KO funnels are decent for anyone that didn't get a set or two during the original release. Still waiting for my Kaitai-Shou-Ki Sazabi that I preordered 2 years ago at retail price.
That beam shotgun looks sexy but the hanger is indeed a disappointment

At least this time, the fin funnels come included with this expensive figure. It was dumb how the RX-93 ν Gundam version of this sold the Fin Funnels as a P-Bandai add on set.
If you're a fan of the MSN-04 Sazabi, I think most fans would be satisfied with:

The Metal Structure 解体匠機 is a bit expensive. The ¥172,000 is likely out of most people's price range, and knowing this, it wouldn't be surprising if third party companies make their own versions.
There's actually an option parts kit for this one too

I went to a convention a couple weeks ago and saw one of these with a $4000 price tag on it
And I thought the PG Unleashed RX-78-2 was pricey...the $300ish that I paid for mine is pocket change compared to the Sazabi's retail price alone! Also, I'm envious of the fully-painted minifigures here. Those are beautiful!

They sell it at my local shop and also on Mercari, but I don't have a spare 440,000 yen, especially considering low crappy Japanese wages, lol. But both of these Nu and Sazabi look fantastic in real life (at least on display in the shop).

Sorry for being so late to this video. I really enjoy the other channel and wanted to check out channel and wanted to check out this one as someone who has a minor interest in gunplu, but has always had a big investment in Gundam. I must say I really appreciate the use of the Crossbones Gundam on the other channel and Nu Gundam on this one. I recently picked up the RG Nu Gundam kit and love it. Sazabi is still my favorite though.

Good news everyone! Daban has just announced that they will be releasing a Model Kit version of the Metal Structure NU Gundam!!! (Coming out in 2023-2024 for $360)
OMG this Metal Sazabi is massive, Really nice that you still make a review video cuz Damm G, even ridiculously expensive but still fragile I couldn't imagine if opening the hatch the wrong way will be a disaster. Beautiful to see by watching your video :P I stick with the Sazabi Ver Ka and the resin kit I need to build in the future.
So basically, Bandai needs to get their butts in gear and make PG kits for the Nu Gundam and Sazabi got it. Well time to go the 3rd party route.
I have one as well, this thing is a beauty. Anyone have any tips for attaching the gun to the hand though? I've been having trouble because the "forearm" is too big and blocks the rifle from attaching to the hand... it's getting frustrating 🤬
The bent forearm and rifle are some of the long running sazabi's design flaws...but it is especially problematic in this version.
It has to be in the same orientation this dude is showing in the video if you want the peg on the rifle to fit into the slot in the hand, which means you have its right elbow facing side way. You also need to bring the palm as far towards the body as possible to give room for the stock/ammo cartilage. To me that's no way to hold a rifle. So instead of trying to get the peg in, I opted for just holding it with the fingers with the elbow bent to about 90 degree forward. The shoulder armor should help keeping the rifle in place while the gesture of the fingers can be manipulated much more easily to look natural.
To me the biggest problem is the fitting of the base where it is supposed to be slotted into the figure's bottom area. The figure itself already have super limited spread and the base is constantly rubbing( if not scratching) the inner thighs. I just never figure out how to solidly have the figure locked in place with the base and relieve some of the loads on the upper body. As mentioned, for how cheap looking the base is, I rather have the figure stands alone on its own if the weight is not a concern in the long run.
I would definitely display this thing in maintenance mode for sure 😻

I live in Japan and tried to get a pre-order on this for over 6 months and dozens upon dozens of entries to no veil. I even lined up infront of a store overnight lmao.
At the end I had to buy it off of a scalper the day after release for 2.2k USD (300,000 JPY) which felt pretty sad because there were people getting 2 or even 3 with the pure intention of just flipping them.
Long story short, fuck Bandai for not making these build-to-order.

Damn. I have more appreciation for the Sazabi now. This is gorgeous. I planned on getting the RG but life came about, and I bought 2 rg Zetas. I have no semblance of budgeting. Someday, I want Sazabi representation on my shelf because it's one of the best mobile suits in UC.

The RG is 100% worth it if you still need one Amazon has one listed with a pay over time option available only issue o had was my box was severely dented and the shipping label was stuck straight to the box other than that worth it and was my favorite build to date

Even with the Metal Structure sets for Nu and Sazabi... part of me frankly hopes we will eventually get a Perfect Grade Nu and Sazabi... and if we are really lucky, a Hi Nu and Nightengale. Does make me wonder, though, if the reason why they haven't done a PG of any of those 4 units is because they'd have to be literally perfect at this point.

I’m not very impressed with how this looks. I agree with you definitely could use more color separation. If this was manufactured by the companies that produce the diecast Mazinger and Getter robo series. Like CCS, Sentinel or even Three zero. It would’ve looked amazing.

I agree, the design for the arms is very ugly. It makes the Sazabi look weak and scrawny in comparison to the rest of the mobile suit. I especially hate the fact the shoulder armour doesn't even fucking cover the joint... The head is also way too wide, so disappointing.

I'm so glad I switched to $20 mcfarlane figures. 😅😅😅😅 I've got kits in the garage that need to get built and painted but shit, nothing like cutting open a medieval batman and sitting him on the desk at work. I suspect the limited quantity is partially due to Human Malware related issues and both personnel and supply chain impacts.
Of course Bandai being a company that only cares about the bottom line, then decided to cut their losses and just put out what they had instead of "risking" that they would have overstock they couldn't sell. You need to remember that Bandai is run by a bunch of old Japanese businessmen that have no idea about the hobbies and IPs they manage. They just care about profit.

I want to get into Gundam but don't know how to. Some one told me there are different stories. I want to get into this one, is this "Mobile Suite Gundam"? In what order are you supposed to watch it in? He mentioned a movie do you watch the movies in between seasons of the show?
Gundam is split into different timeliness. The main timeline has a chronological order based on the year the certain show takes place but other than that the other timeline shows have no relation to one another making jumping into a new Gundam series easy. Just pick which ever series you think looks the coolest and you should be fine. As for the movie you're talking about, it's name is "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterttack" and can be watched with no previous knowledge of the show 👍
