When you play a Drow, use an Australian accent. Because they're from Down Under.
Eilistrae's not just the good Drow god but probably one of the few god's in the forgotten realms to be actually good and decent
Cameron Pearce cant argue with that
Fave FR deity
Tiamat is a religion of peace bigot
Absolutely, probably my favourite deity over all.
My fav diety
So happy you mentioned Eilistraee. She's the ultimate deity to justify a "good drow" PC. The goddess of "screw this backstabing treachory in this horrible endless cave of a life. I want to go to the surface and make peace with all the other races while dancing naked with swords in the moonlight."
feihCehT no he Always play the same race and worships the same god. The characters are probably different but if not then my bad
there is like 3 good drow. guess what, you're not one of them.
I had a player play a good aligned drow bard before. She was lyterally a drizzts fan girl. Her bardic inspiration was her reading her drizzt fan fic to the other players, good times
I feel like reading Drizz’t Fanfiction should have been the way she dealt psychic damage, like reflavoring spells like Vicious Mockery, Dissonant Whispers, and Psychic Scream.
So how long till the party murdered the bard
That would have lost its shine quickly.
The term drow comes from the elven word for traitor. It was what they started calling the dark elves when they were cursed to become drow and sent to the underdark
There can be good drow even in cannon. The War of the Spider Queen wars proved that. #Drowhaveachoice
Let's not forget about Drizzt and Zak. And literally all of the followers of Eilistraee.
Yeah they have a choice hanging or immolation
Great novels. Those characters show what drow should be when NOT denying their heritage to become Drizzt clones.
Lady Penitent series by Lisa Smedman also
I think it’s perfectly OK to leave the Drow as evil to be the Yin to the High Elves Yang. Everything needs a shadow for their to be balance. The problem is the lack of creativity in the players. You don’t have to be a Drizzt clone to be a good Drow. Drizzt’s father was a good Drow and taught him to be good and merciful while also giving him the tools he needed to survive Drizzt being considered the best swordsman in Forgotten Realms and most of fiction. Where I’m going with this is that nothing sentient is born evil they are made that way. Thus it’s only logical that Drizzt’s father, Zaknafein was his name the weapon master of House Do’Urden and best swordsman in Menzoberranzan, wasn’t the only one. You could role play as the child of one of the good Drow that fled to seek a better life. That way you can come up with any background story you like, the only thing shaping the characters personality being the values instilled by its parents and the prejudice it would receive if the campaign takes place on the surface world. Also the character doesn’t have to be brooding. Zaknafein was generally a pleasant character with a good sense of humor.
Yeah Zak, was so put off by the thought of his son becoming evil that he'd rather have killed him then let him become apart of that culture.
I actually don't think Drizzt is the best swordsman in forgotten realms.
Sarcasm Intensifies hmm defend, I know that he is the best know drow swordsmen. As far as I know though only one person was able to equal his skill.
Scattered Planes Well, let's flesh this out. Artemis, per Drizzt after their battle in the Crystal Shard, said that he was his equal and that he only won the duel due to a lucky cut above Artemis' eye early in the fight. Artemis was nearly defeated by one of the companions of Gareth Dragonsbane in the Mercenary series, with Artemis only winning due to a tactical retreat and ambush. Gareth was a superior fighter to his ranger companion and a swordsman, so it would make sense to assume Gareth is a superior combatant.
Next, the reborn Wulfgar is supposedly Drizzt equal now if their sparring match prior to the ambush by the pirate lich is to be believed. Wulfgar isn't a swordsman, but that's still impressive.
He is certainly the best swordsman in Menzoboranzen, which is is no small feat, but I wouldn't say he is the best in forgotten realms. He isn't the best on the sword coast, and he probably isn't the best in the Northeast either.
He is certainly in the top 1 percent of worldwide combatants.
I play more as a chaotic neutral drow where he hates slavery and religion but believes people have the right to choose their freedom but should one be forceful to another he will step in not good dude but not a dictator
This is nothing but High Elf (asshole) Propaganda. The Drow are a wonderful and kind people that welcomes all surface dwellers, be sure not to bring any weapons and arcane focuses, because the Underdark is a very peaceful place, and not because we don’t want you to fight back when we capture you, that’d be absurd.
Dont forget devils are fallen angels but theyre still angels others call it hell we call it new heaven
I murdered at least seven High Preistesses of your society
Realm of peace
@@michaelkeha my favorite female player character sacrificed at least a dozen elf priests of the seldarine and around 50 humans before being murdered by the Male members of her party for being a little too greedy in dividing up the treasure and liberally employing her snake-whip on them.
Drizzt Do'urden is a prince and the son of the best swordsman in the Under Dark. He was the son of Malice, the Do'Urden Matron Mother and her consort, Do'Urden weapon master (and sometime Patron) Zaknafein.
I am currently running a Drow campaign that is following the second generation of a Drow campaign I ran 10 years ago. The House the campaign is following was an experiment of Lolth. She let one family have a level of compassion for their children. One of the Noble Born children went to the surface and established a trading outpost.
Fast forward to the current campaign. The Noble Born Drow Priestess created a thriving trade city that revivals Waterdeep, since they have access to the Underdark's different exotic crafters and resources. They are also a major military power do to the things you said and the fact that they are elves that give Zero Cares. Lolth has seen what giving her people just a modicum of love could do after selective breeding them for 10,000 years could do.
Lolth has ascended back to Greater Deity. Her mind has cleared and she has returned to being Araushnee and has started turning the Drow back to their former appearance and to Lawful Evil. The women still have the power and control through the clergy and the in fighting does still happen but at a much reduced rate, mostly just between the Houses not in House.
Eilistrae was basically created so you can have good Drow, and still keep the Evil Drow lore.
I ran a Forgotten Realms campaign a few years back and one of the pcs was a classic evil drow in a normal (neutral) adventuring party, and the way i made it work was by making sure their interests lined up as well as occasionally using Jarlaxle as an npc as a sort of in-game coach; suffice to say you can have an evil drow in your party without worrying about him storming up the place by simply being a good DM lol
Lolth is like Galvatron from the old Transformers cartoon: powerful, insane, and a chaotic force
Number 1, there are good drow and good drow gods in the lore in the forgotten realm, they are just very rare... if they are found out they are sacrificed. Usually the truly good ones try to escape the underdark.
Number 2, there backstory as explained is only for Faerun / The forgotten realms. In other worlds like Ebberon they have a totally different backstory and aren't inherently evil.
To be fair, there is a dive to be done about Eilistraee too. She's died, come back, and after that come back she became very invested in saving Drow, and current lore, there are secret cities of good Drow on the surface in Forgotten Realms now.
Maybe the rulers of drow society are all irredeemably evil, but I feel like a lot of the citizens would still embrace love and family and not backstab each other, as working together would be advantageous to their survival.
"There's no front of a horse and back of a person, that's just dumb." ... /stares at tikbalang
In Costa Rica, we have something similar called La Segua. She’s a horse headed woman
I'm late to the party, but I'm pretty proud of how I homebrewed Lolth and the Dark Elves in my underdark campaign. Lolth is the goddess of nature and natural selection. She's not evil, she's VERY neutral- she just encourages ambition, adaptation, and survival and any cost. The drow society is fucked up because it helps them survive in the hellish underdark, so she rewards them.
"Do the bad sex!" - Brian, 2018
I can't stop laughing please send help
The way I see a good drow is like writing a light side Sith from SwToR. Basically, you're good in the sense you won't slaughter innocent... But you're not above bribing people to look the other way.
I'd love to see a video about Shar. She has a really interesting clergy that is pretty easy to integrate into a campaign.
Jesus Christ is that guy baked out of his mind? "A drider is like a centaur with a spider instead of a horse, but you don't have half-man/half-fish... wait I guess that's a mermaid." lol
Im currently running a drow rogue male who escaped the underdark after ticking off a woman. Hes only doing good thanks to being influenced by a good aligned halfling that took him in. When hes on his own hes been given a guide notebook by the halfling for general situations. Hes motivated by gold and chocolate. He tries his best but often comes off as intimidating or out of touch.
I did the faction idea with orcs in my game. They have an entire city on my continent and my players love that place. It's their favorite place.
Was it anything like Orsinium in The Elder Scrolls or what was it like?
@@futurewario9591 In my world orcs had a civil war leading to there being the tribal orcs and the civilized uruks. The uruks warship the god of valor and run a mining, blacksmithing city of strength. The city is called Nurg with a "any strong enough to survive are welcome" mindset.
In Baldurs gate you can choose between Lolth-sworn and seldarine. The lolth-sworn all have red eyes and the seldarine have purple eyes.
Always have loved the Drow back to the Vault of the Drow and always had delt with Odd Dm thoughts and painful rules regarding then.
You have to talk about the weapons having sunlight degradation (Drow weapons and armor does not survive in sunlight) and the silent tongue.
But yeah there is so much to talk about like how the Drow have been used in the past to be the reason why some DMs said all elves are pale (aka white) and there are no brown skin Elves (because Drow are black..get it). I will not hold you to it but there it is out there.
And it also was one of the first times I ran afoul the alignment system when we wound up with young Drow prisoners after a raid on a minor house and I a half elf ranger had to raise a couple of them and fight over the idea that Drow were not automatically evil but the product of an evil society (I was stupid crazy in the day).
So much to still talk about. I hope to hear a bit more about where you want to go with it.
Zaknafein (Drizzt's father) or something like that was House D'ourden's weapon master and husband to the matron of the House
Yes!!!! Been waiting for this one! Great video guys. Thanks.
By the nine hells I've been waiting.
you mean by the infinite layers of the abyss I've been waiting
There is no evil race. Standard Lothien drow society is absolutely chaotic evil, those raised outside of, banished or escaped from that society have potential to follow any path although I imagine with difficulties. Same with orcs, goblins, etc.
I am trying to create a back story for a half-drow arcane trickster and doing research on drow. This is really helpful! Thank you guys for this episode!
Thank you for helping me understand my new D&D character more.
One of my favorite character types to play!
i really love the goddess Ellistrae. she offers her guidance to all dark elves but also to those who are simply oppressed. Shes such a compassionate goddess and simply wishes the best for her people.
Love the channel! Keep up the great work.
Greetings from Aomori, Japan! We are starting an Underdark Campaign tomorrow evening. Myself and another player will be playing Drow. My character is a Fighter/Monk & my friend will be a Rogue.
In forgotten realms there is a movment in drow culture that's doing what it can to break free of lolth. Even one of the matron mothers sees it a positive and is working toward it. Though to be fair I'm not sure where it's going because it was only in the most recent Drizt book that this started. It was tied into out of the abyss.
Scattered Planes are you referring to the Drow House Xorlarrin🤷🏼♂️?
@@adamholcomb200 he's referring to House Baenre and Yvonnel the Second. Its VERY recent. I hope the Order of Myrlocar crusaders bring down that city for its sacrilege against the Spider Queen.
@@skankhunt4588 i love the series
Lloth made a pact with a High rank demon lord. Most Drow have the bloodline from that pact . That was what I gathered from War of the Spider Queen.
I dont understand how there are so many thieflings on the prime material nowadays (in 5e) they used to be much more rare... in 2e and 3e
Late reply. When Asmodeus ascended to godhood after absorbing Azuth's divine essence this woke up laten fiendish bloodlines in many people. It's also why Tieflings from 4e and 5e look vastly than different to those of 2e and 3.5e. Azuth fell into the Nine Hells when Mystra died during the Spellplague, as he was a lesser god that worked under her. His divine portfolio was wizards and spell casting. When Mystra died her demiplane ceased to exist and Azuth who lived there fell to the Hells. Asmodeus then literally ate him and took his divine spark.
I am always a Drow! MUAHAHAHAH! #DrowPride
Drow Life!
Akira Yagami Drow forever 🕸🕸🕷🕷👍🏼👍🏼💯

The fact that mermaids are fish centaurs will now be something I ponder for the next few weeks.
If you play through The Neverwinter Nights expansion Hoards of the Underdark you get a faction of Eilistraee Worshipers and other Drow society outcasts VS. the Valsharess (Queen) of the Drow who rose up after Loth suddenly and without explanation, disappeared. The Loth clerics are now completely powerless and other forms of power are needed to dominate Drow society. There isn't as much political intrigue or world immersion as I'd personally like but it does have a great tone and story. Also Eilistraee has moon/Moonlight under her domains as her faithful seek to return to the surface. Pretty sure this is Forgotten Realms lore but whatever.
I prefer to blame nurture over nature in the case of Drow. Their whole vindictive, power hungry and cruel society was built from the ground up by Lolth and the rejection from Corellon gave them no alternative but to adapt to the rules and realities of surviving Drow society, attempt to survive alone in the Underdark, somehow return to the surface and be reviled by the other races or die. I hope Eilistree shames the shit out of her dad for his dumb ass idea of giving Lolth a loyal lot of followers for all time because his feelings got hurt. Her twin brother Vhaeraun is also the God of Drow males that drank the Toxic Femininity kool aid and want to reshape Drow society with men on top but keep the violence and cruelty. Lady silver hairs family fucking sucks.
What's up guys. Been listening for a few months. Love the lore you provide. I was wondering if I can expect to see a Lolth episode. I'm currently running a 5e game in Forgotten Realms and the group are encountering drow and heading to the underdark to go to Menzoberranzan(unknowingly of course).
There definitely will be. Hard to say how soon tho. All our planar/deity stuff is on hold til after Mordenkainen's drops.
I’m a huge Drow fan and play currently two Drow in D&D Adventures League both are male Drow one is a very Evil Necromancer the other a bounty hunter assassin Neutral aligned. I’ve ralley seen in AL anyone other than me play a Drow, and I’ve only seen them played two times in the 4 years playing AL🤷🏼♂️🕸🕸🕷🕷
No society like the one you described would even be sustainable.
they are encouraged to slaughter not only their neighboring cities, but even among the high noble houses, to exchange power.. or rather thats the guise of Lolth that rules most of them with an iron spider thumb. but no, they are meant to kill one another off or raid the surface above for resources and not many survive. which is how it, doesnt yet does, "sustain".
look into Eilistraee tho, she rescues beings from enslavement in the underdark... not all drow are evil.
I made a mistake. It's Lady Penitent series by Lisa Smedman. It explains pre Drow and pre descent.
Female's can be mages as well It is briefly mentioned in War of the spider king I think in the last book.
I think mostly its just looked down upon. Why would a worthy Female get her magic from any place other than Lolth?
Yay! I can't wait to play a Jumping Jackalwere!!!!
I liked playing drow long before I've even heard of Drizzt. Still haven't read any of the stories either.
Drizzt was the 3rd son (quickly the 2nd) of the 8th most powerful house
side note. males can become priests of Eilistraee, somewhere around (late) 1700s in the lore. it was decided that those were the 'old ways' and encouraged balance & respect, not subjugation among gender differences. although practices could still of course vary from temple to temple. nice job tho A+
Elistae is the easiest way to have good drow and Drizzt was the third son of a noble house and was to be sacrificed but one of his other brothers killed the other one and he was spared. I've played drow paladins of Elistrae
When you get a chance I'd love to hear your thoughts on the newest drow lore from the way of the drow book series. Because honestly I like it I think the new differentiations are fun
Hey! I've been listening to the podcast for a while now and really enjoyed all of them. I was wondering if you both would ever consider doing different kind of content? Your both very likable and I think people would enjoy getting to know you better, maybe watch you play or dm? Thanks for the show!
We have something in the works coming soon! Thanks for watching to the show and the kind words!
I know one thing to keep in mind with drow is that everyone deals with trama differently so a drow like drizit although plossible isn't the only way people deal with trama. A drow might become shy and antisocial and akward but in a nice way due to drama or may end up more social because they finally have the opportunity to socialize. They might have been on the surface so long that literally learned how to behave normal. Maybe instead of being edgy they have ptdsd attacks and server anxiety when it comes to stuff reminding them of the past
One of my favorite character ideas that I ever came up with is a female drow who grew up in drow society, but constantly heard a kind and gentle voice in her dreams/trance/whatever. At first, she thinks this is Lolth, but then she hears Lolth's voice for real during her training as a new priestess. She dreams again, and basically has a sit-down talk with the voice about what's going on. Turns out, the voice she's heard all her life was that of a Celestial.
It saw a soul compatible with its power, and worked with her over her lifetime until now to protect the capacity for goodness in her soul. She originally rejects it, because this isn't what her life is supposed to be about, but then it asks for a bargin - if she will do a single Good Deed and still reject it, then it will vanish from her life forever. If, however, she does the deed and does not reject it, then it will continue to protect her and guide her out of the Underdark. She accepts the bargin, eager to be rid of the Celestial... But then she does the deed. She frees a family of slaves from the surface, and a child gives her their only possession - a doll made of cloth scraps - as thanks...
She does not reject the Celestial when it speaks to her in her dreams that night. It blesses her with a drop of its divine essence and guides her to the surface, where its voice still remains that of a guide and friend. The Divine Origin of the drow sorceress.
That sounds so nice, and peaceful.
Priestly studies vary by city-state. Menzoberranzan is very strict about female-only clergy but Ched Nasad trains male clerics. Rai-guy Bondalek was high priest of Lolth.
These old episodes where William introduces himself as Will kind of have a weird subtext now. 🤣
Reverse centaur is a thing. The Ipotane is just like a horse styled Minotaur.
For me I’m running an Eberron campaign and heard about all the different things and one of them was not evil Spider Drow but more like decent Scorpion Drow and was like “You know what would be cool if the pantheon was flipped on its head and Eilistrae was the head god of it.” So once the players run into them that’s gonna come about but I thought that it would be cool if it was like that. Granted they would still be matriarchal but wouldn’t have this treat everyone like shit kind of deal
Cool led zep tats
Glad I found this now, I'm interested in Drow from reading the Drizzt books.
Man it's a fucked up society, also will listen to more Monster Mythos vids.
It is a bit of a meme that a player will play the "good Drow", but I find that this is almost a necessary aspect of those characters. Most campaigns doesn't seem that well suited for evil characters, so to avoid conflicting hard with the party and DM, being good or neutral is a good fit. It also explains why said Drow is an adventurer, rather than part of a Drow raiding force. This is assuming we're going with a mostly standard Drow lore, of course, like the Forgotten Realms or Eberron versions.
Pulling off an evil Drow in a campaign that isn't geared towards evil characters isn't going to be easy, but a way to go about it would be a Drow accepting that they have to "be good" to accumulate influence they can use to gain themselves.
7:38 horse front+human legs= the Tikbalang, a monster from Filipino mythology that makes travelers lost.
There is a male cleric of loth
Also poison is peppered on food to create an immunity;would like you to study the drow more then do another video;you didn't mention loths son
I totally agree with you on the players are going to play annoying pc character ideas. I’ve had so many Cloud from FFVII, Guts from Berserk, Conan the camel-punching Barbarian, and just female character from the League of Legends roster clone characters in my campaign. I had someone play an illusionist that would give themselves fox tails every morning. But they had fun and the group loved it. So long as they understand that their power level does not translate to that character’s, at least yet, then the games tend to be fun.
Whenever I get a drow in my games I offer them a quest to eliminate that disadvantage in the sun problem by helping a tinkerer create a set of steampunk-like “sunglasses”. I had a player who made a drow tinkerer and that was what he wanted to do first and I thought it was a cool idea. And the group he was with was totally down for it, probably because they wanted cool shades too.
Black blindfold
Well personally I play a female drow Druid who is lawful good. But my character was never brought up in drow society, she is a third generation of surface drow who only knows tiny parts of that life and very much kept away and protected from that life.
So I don’t really see a problem with people wanting to play drow, if you can work with your players to create an interesting and unique backstory with a drow character then I see no problem with it.
I just made a drow character in a Champaign I'm in and her ancestors left to live on the surface because they weren't like the others alignment wise and they have a weredragon curse on the women in their family from a dark God, unsure how my dm is working with this but I told him I'm basing my drow character on the dark elves in the elder scrolls.
Question: How common are entrances to the Underdark?
Inquisitor Thomas as common as your DM want to be
I totally understand that people have mixed feelings on Drizzt, but the description that was presented here of his character is almost entirely incorrect.
If I am permitted to take an opposing view, Drow need to be evil to fuel our suspension of disbelief and are more worthwhile as sinister characters. I think they can make a temporary ally if you have a common goal, or perform a noble gesture in that Predator 2 way of handing off the Spanish pistol to acknowledge a fellow warrior, but next time you meet they'll as likely kill or enslave you. They are supposed to be as dispassionate as the spider goddess, or any arachnid is toward potential meals. The concept that you guys are missing is that as time goes by, people are humanizing monsters too much in D&D, and making them like us, an example being the novel Orcs by Stan Nicholls. They look like orcs and talk a little like orcs but think and act like barbarian people. They need to be alien to us to have character, otherwise they're just humans with unusual features. People will play them just to get the bonus points, like many do with elves and dwarves and halforcs. It takes the creativity out of the game, rather than adding anything truly worthwhile when the monsters fall in lockstep as people. What's next, Twilight vampires? Invent new monsters to fill the gap rather than taking existing ideas and making them display civilized human notions. Drizzt was one drow in a million in one writer's stories. And saying people are stupid - repeatedly - for not being open to every change you prefer in roleplaying "because it's your world", is not well thought out either. Be creative and truly come up with your own stuff rather than reimagining someone else's ideas. I do, however, commend your knowledge of these creatures. I learned a few things, thanx!
Tommy Bennett I agree a party of Adventures can work with them against a common foe on dire circumstances but after the threat is over there is a potential of betrayal against the party or the thanks but beat it before we decided to attack you👍🏼🕸🕷💯
Still talking about twilight vampires. Let it goo... Anne Rice vampires were so white they looked like a statue. So white they look like a diamond is just another way to say theyre really friggin white.
Love the video and liked how you went into a detailed culture look. Have you made a video about some of the devils in dnd? Namely about Glaysa which is a badass devil 😎
Always thought "Drow" was an interesting name. So many ways to tease them.
"How now brown drow?"
=-)
So many words rhyme with drow.
Sow, now, bow, loud, shroud, cow...so many playground insults one can come up with!
Only to die shortly afterwards, but it's the thought that counts right? lol
What is a dark elf? Homies with magic bloodline and knife ears😂😂l😂
So about that Drizzt episode
Sorry just thought lawful evil in the end is still lawful.. CE doesn't mean you're going around doing bad stuff all the time... players and some DMs have a miss conception about how alignment is ment to be played out and in the end it is your player caricature... just play and have fun..
I made a lich final boss from a Drow.
6:20 Order 66
I like being a drow
Five years late so you might not read this but Lolth was meant to die in 1980. The whole point of the module was to kill Lolth. Why she is still around and as a Goddess I do not know but she is dead at my table.
Where is the drizzt episode?? We need iiiiittttttt
Really appreciate you guys denouncing gatekeeping, it's such a big problem in the community. The whole point of DnD is to get creative and make up your own world and characters, saying this or this isn't allowed because so and so rule said so is just boring and unimaginative, just means you don't wanna put the work in. Let players play!
Greetings
I really like the show, but for the love of all good out there, can you change your intro music into something more mellow? xD
PS: Requesting episode on Eladrin/ Elven gods and archfey specifically (if you have time to put it into somewhere your busy schedule).
All the best
Totally disagree on the music. I love the dichotomy of the "dum dumm dum dum dum" and the "wiiii wiii wiii wiii" effects. It's very distinctive, no other D&D podcast has it.
Was lolth deleted by a... Paladin in you're campaign
lol
Umm he was a Noble Born Drow.
I've Read All The Drizzt Do'urden Books! And There Great Anybody Know Drizzt! Also Did You Know Drow Is Short For The Word Trator In Elven Language!
Chaotic Evil?????
I do hope you meant to say LAWFUL Evil.
just play an evil drow
Eilistrae affords people the opportunity to play a Drow. So I don't see why playing a Drow is an issue.. There was no subrace "Drow" in elvin Society the Drow stem from the Elves who sided with Araushnee when she tried, with the help of Grumsh to kill Corilan. these elves were also banished to the underdark thus becoming the Drow... Eilistrae is the out... is saying that good drow have no out is not entirely true. drizzt found to the top and Eilistrae showed herself to Drizzt.... but yeah still a good video
There are no drow slaves
I'm researching Drow because I created a whole good Drow society separate from the old evil ones. And it is a flourishing and beautiful land with strong ripped Drow women that struggle between the old ways and the newer working ways within their societies.
Optimistic Writer if so then make it a kinda hidden society then cause there own would slay them for weakness and surfaces races would attack them for just being Drow 👍🏼👍🏼💯
12:12 Pretty much modern America
Idk how there "are no outs" for being a good drow, like, be a slave, I doubt most of the slaves are super on board with the whole system, it's not like they're all privileged overseers
I played a Drow once. I was chaotic neutral. My character was ultimately a selfish d!ck that looked out for self but was also that guy you wanted in your party because he was to skilled not to.
Mine too😈
Xerxes
I would love to play a Drow Redemption paladin that worships Eilistrae.
The Drow chose their fate. They had a choice.
Rong females can practice magic. Its just preferred that thay follow the practice of the priest hood... and there is even a book about a female drow mage... from the first house...
They are a girl who don't live in the underdark it's harder to live but they do
This Drow sound like they have been talking to some hardcore feminists
Alexander_Hernon_Hadrada _
Second wave feminism sure but not third wave modern feminism.
It seems like a society of power hungery feminists and beta males
